Naturalist: Reincarnated as a Nature Spirit

Description
When Licht died at 77, he assumed he would go to heaven. Er, well, at least he would go somewhere like that after death.
But instead, after flubbing an afterlife survey, he finds himself reborn into the spherical body of a Nature's Ego: A small, spiritually aligned plant-based life form that he finds out through his system interface is charged with the duty of protecting the forest in which he inhabits.
"How am I going to do that from the inside of a gigantic rabbit-beast, though?"
Oh yeah. First, he has to find the means to survive in this forest. With strange energy fueling plantlife and animals alike to morph into unrecognizable and uncomprehending enigmas, there's plenty of competition to be had along the evolutionary ladder. Not to mention the worst monster of all: People.
His orb-like bodyisa natural resource that nations around covet, after all.
I did mention that though, didn't I?

- MagstzerpRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0This concept is something I've been hoping and wishing for a long time that someone would do.
I don't like, however, the way the Mc treats a certain healer that winds up in their home, but that's what character arcs are for. This one does feel forced though, As The Mc didn't originally come off as that kind of a person.
Anyway, I have high expectations. - Wil30Royal Road★★★★ 4.0I won’t usurp the literacy background and qualifications to give a proper review, nor is that my intention.
With 36 chapters so far, though, for a story that I will classify as enjoyable to read, on a deluge of stale, erosif tales, and the reliance of a successful narrative on favorable reviews and ratings on RoyalRoad, it would be unsuitable for me to not share my thoughts on an adventure that, in my humble opinion, is aching for recognition.
My meager effort will be to shortly portray my satisfying reading experience of a story in its genesis, taking roots for what I hope will be a wonderful tree, a sapling nourishing itself with well-known and well-used concepts in the genre.
Nothing groundbreaking, other than a tree, perhaps later on a forest deserving of a better place in the sun. - ShadowKnight6992Royal Road★★ 1.5Grammar is good, no issues there.
the plot is okay….like it’s the same thing as every other tree novel, you would think as a tree he would shelter away from everything and make himself safe from every natural danger and expand more, which he did for awhile and that’s why it was enjoyable, then he met slavers got mad then it devolved into yet ANOTHER basic tree novel.
the side characters are okay, like of course the people he meets are good and totally trusting with him when you could sell him to make a country’s amount of gold or probably gain magic from eating him. We all know especially when the Mc puts his heart in your hand and trusts you, no way in hell I’m not gaining magick or making a country’s worth of gold.
And the Mc is smart, till he meets People which is hilarious, his own family betrayed him, so when he turns around and gives knowledge of himself to the first, well second people he’s met it’s just not believable and just painfully dumb especially when the first people he “met” turned into fanatics trying to get him to use him as a potion or sell him.
