Naruto : The Wind Calamity
Community Rating
Description
Synopsis :
The MC transmigrates into Narutoverse in the body of a civilian orphan. Luckily for him, the transmigration results in chakra being unlocked. Follow the story of the MC as he grows in power and stabilizes himself into the world of ninjas and trains to be the strongest.
Warning :
The MC won't be op for a long time. All his power would be gained via hard work and training over years (so if u want an op mc right from the word go, this one ain't for you)No harem (probably no romance either)There will be a lot of killing (maybe gore too, not sure if I can do gore right though)
What to expect :
Smart and consistent MCLots of trainingMC manipulating the plot to his advantageA lot of original arcs.Plot will mostly stay the same (at least till Shippuden), but I won't repeat any scenes/dialogues that took place in the manga (as I'm assuming you've already read it).
Disclaimer : I don't own Naruto or it's characters (except the original characters I create)
PS : It's my first fanfic, I'm hoping it turns out good. All reviews and constructive criticisms are welcome. Grammar and English should be fine, but I'm not sure how good the dialogues and scenarios will be. Hopefully I'll improve as this fanfic progresses forward.

- RedtherulerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0so I’ve been thinking about the learning blood lines, and think scorch release would be good for him or ice release since they only take 2 elements and he’s already a wind master, he only needs one more element and being in the land of fire, fire should be easy to learn and who his teacher was it makes sense
- FinalfoolRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Was debating if i should read this novel since it has been on a 4 month hiatus but the author moved to webnovel if anyone is intrested in reading more of this series.

The Wind Calamity has an almost entirely original plotline (so far) with a majority of original characters. Overall, the characters are a little two-dimensional, but that's pretty normal for the Naruto-verse. The thing that really interested me about them is how they are relatively diverse compared to what you would see in most Naruto fanfics. Considering that they're mostly original characters, you have plenty of interesting backgrounds apart from the typical village ninjas and the Akatsuki band that you would usually see. The setting is like a dialed up version of the canon-verse in that there are more ninjas in general and especially a lot more high-level Jonin and semi-Kage individuals. The clans are more populated and you even have Senjus that are still around. Jutsus also seem to be significantly more powerful and versatile in the low to mid range than they are in canon, with a lot of non-canon justus and techniques included. The grammar isn't very good, and the style is similar to Chinese translated webnovels, but it's not painful to read or anything. The fight scenes are very good and well-organized. There's also a bit of humor that genuinely made me laugh, though it's not a comedy.
Overall, it's a very good fanfiction that tells a mostly original story using the canon-verse as a framework while not trying to be too complicated. The only thing it really suffers in is writing style. - A Failed Author (TLH)Royal Road★★★★ 4.0Really nice. You use the words "however" way too much but other than that I really liked the story and everything else.
The characters are minimally interesting, it follows the cannon for 85% of the story complementing it when something is not clear or by adding details to vague explanations given by Kishimoto. - TaliusRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Story kept my interest pretty well and there were lots of moments i had to pause to stop giggling. Author does a good job of writing the cannon characters and an even better job of making new ones that feel like they fit in the story. Solid fanfic so far and I hope the author continues:)
- Quac16Royal Road★★ 2.0The first chapters are extremely boring and bland he dosent talk with anyone in the academy. Most of the beginning is internal dialogue and in depth explanation about his training. Luckily a lot of this changes after the authors first hiatus and the story seems to be progressing a bit but he forgot about most of the things the mc was scared about. He used to hide his power and then stopped for some reason. and danzo which terrified him and was the reason he hid his power was completely ignored and his presence is non existent. I really hate the elemental crystal stuff and a lot of fights dont make sense. I read a decent amount because of the good reviews and most of them said the story will get better further on but im not wasting my time on it anymore. Maybe someday I’ll pick it up but i dont see it happening
- RDKRoyal Road★★ 2.0So my biggest gripe with the story is the MC, who has a paper thin excuse of a personality basically being a psychopath (a poorly written one): no desires really besides becoming stronger, doesn't care wether people die or not, extremely arrogant, absolutely the barest and blandest interactions with people, it takes time for him to progress but he is basically a Mary Sue since he never really struggles and has no flaws (besides having the emotional range of a toaster). Also, the guy got isekaied but besides knowing he watched naruto, he has absolutely no back story, previous experiences from another life are never mentionned.
Secondly, the author has this weird obsession with giving the readers a massive amount of absolutely unnecessary information so much so, it feels like i am reading an excel spreadsheet. The side characters exist simply for the MC to 'shine'. Unless they are talking about the MC, it feels like they have no agency. An example of this would be, you have a kid who speaks to NO ONE, no interactions with his classmates in Years, like what? Has no one tried to speak to him? When we do get interactions with the children, it's give me information and then proceeds to never speak to that person again. It's almost as if the author has no idea how humans work or interact.
Honestly even as a power fantasy it falls flat as while slow progress is ok, since there are absolutely no interactions with other characters or creation of what I would describe as tangible links to other characters.
Up to the chapter I am reviewing the story can be summarized as such: The MC trains everyday for 16 hours and he gets stronger...thats it, thats the whole story, with random number with decimals for the hells of it spread out here and there - LucyDarkRoyal Road★★ 1.5So, I started reading this on the webnovel because it was in ninth place in the power ranking, so I figured it must be enjoyable, I also read the comments and most of them seemed quite positive, so decide to read it...
I discovered that the formatting in Webnovel was terrible, but luckily I saw the author's comment saying that it was better in RoyalRoad, I started reading in RoyalRoad and lasted until chapter 15, and my conclusion and the reason for stopping is this:
From the first chapter I felt like I was reading a Chinese Novel MTL, almost everything in the writing style had the style of a Chinese novel, the dialogues were strange and artificial, the characters were generally generic (like the fact that there was an equivalent to a young master in Yori Uchiha), the presentation of the MC's thoughts was really irritating and completely interrupted the reading flow (and I wasn't the only one to comment on this), the spelling errors and repeated sentences, or the dialogues with several people talking in the same paragraph, other than that, I noticed several inconsistencies that make me wonder if the author knows Naruto's lore, firstly there is the fact that there are still Senjus even though the third war has ended (canonically they were basically eradicated, as they were deliberately hunted), after that we have the scroll talking about Senjutsu in the free section, where even ninjas who are still in the academy can read about it (something that canonically was said to be a generally unknown and high-level art), other than that there were several minor inconsistencies that It just doesn't work for me...
On top of all that, we have the MC, I understand he was some kind of genius apparently in his previous life, but I can't imagine anyone in his situation who would be able to manipulate trained ninjas like he did, him acting like a child should have been noticed easily, especially due to the fact that the academy teacher is an "Elite Chunin", other than that the MC is - KirafoRoyal Road★★ 1.5chapter 198 Its a this point I dropped this series everyone of these series takes the lazy way out of just letting the massacre happen and that's probably why the author didn't have any real character development for any of the side characters they just felt like place holders lastly the main character feels like a board like how do you come from regular earth and reincarnation into a world of Naruto and start off as unfeeling droid the most emotion we got from him was when he and the other threw up at their first kill and even then that was glossed over "like how does anyone spend 2+ years working with someone especially placing their life on the line and protecting each other and breaks down the decision of if he just lets them die to 1 or 2 paragraph lastly he keeps saying he doesn't want to attract the attention of certain ppl but it feels more like he idolize them than anything cause he sure as hell walking the same path as them
Like all he thinks about is me me me and how can I manipulate this and that while complaining about other ppl doing the same the complaining about child abuse and protection laws while planning how he's gonna abuse and manipulate other Children the among of hypocrisy from the main is mind boggling
lastly dudes a ninja and If you can break in to steal a corpse you can break in to extract one living person especially if you lean seals and can create a scroll to store a living creature. Hell even if he tried and failed I would have been ok with it - NaChaoticRoyal Road★ 0.5the most impressive part about this book, is how much the author knows about naruto, ngl, the writing is like a boring grammar lecture, the logic is low tier, and the power scaling is absolute trash. the author has the nerve to say that the mc isnt op, that he's gonna work hard, but the reality is, this is just a wish fulfilment story, poorly disguised as a normal novel.
updated: (add on) the author is a liar. the nerve for him to say that the mc wont be op is so angering. this has truly braindead power scaling, no one other than the mc improves, and we're supposed to believe that the mc isnt special
