The goddess who reincarnated Amelia purposely ensured that her dungeon's main theme is centered around the Napoleonic Wars. What could go wrong?
Expect:

- FaquarlRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Very interesting dungeon core story, the dungeon has humans as monsters, an incredible rarity by itself, plus the time period of its theme make for a very different feeling dungeon compared to the usual fantasy monsters that tend to populate them in these stories. There is no great grammar problems, and the chapters always leave you wanting more, which is a plus in my book.
- NocculumRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I absolutely found myself loving this story, it's a different and refreshing take on the dungeon core genre. And I find myself devouring each new chapter within moments of it updating.
It has an easy flow, whether it's the day to day life aspects or the combat and has quickly become one of my favourite reads. I haven't noticed any grammar issues, and I appreciate the little snippets of history when each of the units is introduced.
Truly cannot recommend it enough. - Strictly WorseRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5This is quite an early review but I've found myself eagerly anticipating each chapter of this story as it comes out. If you like dungeon core stories or have an interest in this period of history or are just a fan of fantasy worlds with gunpowder give this a look.
A minor criticism but some of the mana costs for individual units feel a touch excessive compared to the cost of basic squads.
It has an overall cosy feel while still having interesting combat. - AmphitriteRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Napoleonic Dungeon by Alexie321 delivers a quirky and creative twist on the dungeon-core genre, combining fantasy elements with the unique and unexpected theme of Napoleonic warfare. Amelia Yokakko, reincarnated as a Dungeon Core after a heroic death, embarks on her second life, now tasked with running a dungeon styled around 19th-century weaponry and strategy.
What sets this story apart is its willingness to embrace the absurdity of the premise. The combination of muskets, cannons, and dungeon-building mechanics creates a refreshingly lighthearted tone, even if historical accuracy takes a backseat. The female lead, Amelia, brings charm and wit to her role, making her an entertaining guide through this chaotic world.
As a self-proclaimed “best attempt” at a litRPG, the story does well incorporating system mechanics and progression without getting bogged down by overly technical details. Readers who enjoy dungeon-core stories will find the Napoleonic spin a welcome novelty, though those looking for true-to-life warfare depictions might need to suspend their expectations.
The posting schedule may be irregular, but the author’s passion for the story is clear. If you’re looking for a dungeon-core tale with an original premise, a strong female lead, and a humorous approach to musket-era chaos, Napoleonic Dungeon is worth a read. It’s an enjoyable experiment that proves sometimes the most unexpected themes can hit their mark.
