If you enjoyed Lord of the Mysteries, and wanted more, this is a good place to start. The story so far is unique, even if it exists adjacent to the same general plot of LoTM, intersecting at times. The author does a good job at incorporating the personality and characteristics of a radically different path from that of the main story, which keeping to the chaotic, gloomy and outrageous setting.
The grammr is pretty bad, although it does get better as time goes on if not anything close to perfect. At first I had to push through the awful grammar, but if got to the point that it was decent enough to overlook and keep reading for the story underneath. It helps that LoTM has a bit of a stitled style anyway due to it being a web novel translated from Mandarin.
Overall, I recomened this story to any fans of the original fic. Reading about the MC decending down the path of the abyss has been a delight.
