Description

Aldeen, the strongest human in the world, approaches the revered Sage Willow with trepidation. Hovering atop a kaleidoscope cloud, Aldeen seeks insight into the future. The sage, with a knowing chuckle, questions Aldeen's readiness for the revelations to come.

In a surge of adrenaline, Aldeen braces for the foretelling. The sage paints a grim picture of a world marred by darkness and despair: blood staining the ground, the stench of death choking the air, once-thriving towns reduced to rubble, and the echoing cries of the afflicted.

Aldeen, consumed by fear and curiosity, implores the sage for more details. The sage speaks of a malevolent figure, the prince of evil and the harbinger of division, whose seductive powers will ensnare the masses. But amidst this chaos, there will be those chosen few who will rise above, reigning over their emotions and defying the tyrant's control.

"How can we withstand his temptations?" Aldeen asks, his voice tinged with desperation. The sage, with a wry laugh, offers unexpected wisdom. She urges Aldeen to forsake the trappings of duality, embracing life with the innocence and joy of a child. Only then, she claims, can one truly transcend the unfairness of existence and find solace in the unpredictable adventure of life.

Magic and technology blend, guided by Aldeen to unlock prodigies potential. Portals open to new realms, revealing ancient secrets.

As prodigies grow, they realize their interconnected destinies. Their journey highlights unity and self-development amidst discord, revealing a tale of empowerment and friendship in Eldoria's turmoil.

Style: The style is very good. The author has a unique way of writing that adds to the feel of the story. In addition, the tone is aided greatly by some good word choices on the author's part. And the literary device of imagery is used to great effect. However, there are some inconsistencies in the style that can be a bit strange. For example, the spacing is inconsistent. Also, there are some points where there's a jarring lack of buildup before important events, but those are few and far between. The style is great overall.
Story: The story is very good. I can safely say that it is paced at the right rate, and it develops at exactly the pace it needs to. The story itself has a lot of different plot points to it and storylines in a good way. There are multiple plot threads that help make the story interesting, and they give a degree of variety to the work.
Grammar: In the chapters I read so far, there were some distracting grammatical errors; however, they should be fixed by now. Still, there will probably be other errors of the sort in future chapters.
Character: The characters are really good. They are all well-depicted, realistic, and three-dimensional. This goes for both main and side characters. I can safely say that the characters are very interesting as well with their dynamics and interactions being one of the highlights of the story.

The biggest thing I can compliment this story on is the very large-feeling world. We are immediately immersed, and the author has clearly taken time to dive deep with us to make sure that all the details of this world are fleshed out. The main character follows a squirrel into this cave and…well, magic ensues…literally. The author, also, includes some incredibly beautiful pictures to help us imagine the scenery—a touch that I really liked and appreciated in the story.
I read in the author’s bio that they are not a native English speaker. I think it is incredible that their prose flows the way it does, given English is not their first language. Well done! I didn’t notice any grammatical errors, and the narrative flowed like a river, very detailed and painting a picture as to what was going on. Hats off to you.
This one is something different to try. Give it a shot and get intrigued. Something I loved as well is that the author doesn’t follow the typical ‘chosen one’ trope. The thought that there is the possibility the character could step up and become the chosen one, but not the definitive, usual prophesy. Thought this was a brilliant touch that leaves more mystery.

Mysteries of Xelar gives a vibe reminiscent of classic fantasy stories, and commits itself well to expansive worldbuilding in what will surely be a sprawling slow-burn narrative.
Style - This was one of the weaker points of the story for me, largely due to the prose, which tended towards being stiff and overly formal. However, I noticed an improvement as I progressed through the chapters, and there were also several fairly compelling descriptions that stood out.
The story also features some AI-generated artworks peppered throughout to help illustrate the scenes. I thought this worked pretty well as a way to set the mood.
Grammar - The grammar was mostly good. There were a few errors and some places that had missing words, etc, especially around dialogue tags, but it wasn't enough to be distracting.
Story - Like I mentioned at the start, Mysteries of Xelar feels very much in the vein of old-school fantasy. It's one of my favorite subgenres, and I think it's been sorely lacking in recent years, so I'm always happy to see this kind of story.
That said, however, it does do some key things to distinguish itself. The main one I appreciated was the use of magitech in the setting (not the term used in-world, but just so that it's clear what I'm referring to). I'm also a sucker for science fantasy, which I think, while being a subgenre potentially on the rise, could also use more exposure, and I thought the implementation of various high-tech vehicles and pieces of tech was a cool touch.
Characters - The characters, while not overly inspired, did the job of introducing the setting well. I especially liked Aldeen, who doesn't appear in the first chapter, so for me it kicks off properly character-wise once he's introduced.
Overall - Check out Mysteries of Xelar if you're looking for classic fantasy with a twist.

Mysteries of Xelar is one of the best AI assisted stories that I have read. From the flow of the plot to the world building, all is well written and i think the author had done a good job balancing AI and his skills, though there are still some angles that needed tending to perfect this fic.
Grammar wise i found some mistakes and errors here and there, but as i continued reading, the quality improved alot, and i was impressed by how the author handed it.
Mysteries of Xelar is a blend of classic fantasy and Sci-fi with a complex magical system that is both well thought of and interesting to discover. The battle scenes are colorful and detailed, and the addition of art throughout the chapters kept my imagination running loose in this world.
As for the characters, they are well made and feel realistic to the setting. I love the conversations between each one, and i love how the author shifts POV to give the reader a grander scale of the world's different aspects.
Overall, if you enjoy classic science fantasy with a good plot and interesting characters, the Mysteries of Xelar is for you. Give it a shot, you will like what you read, i assure you.
