- CapwallcroftRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0My Infinite Mana is an action-packed, monster-hunting epic that will be sure to please any fans of the genre!!!! CHECK THIS OUT NOW!!! Especially if you want a great read, awesome battle scenes and a solo-leveling style rise!!!!
Spoilers Below:
The novel takes place centred around our main character Allen Quovar, a 20-year-old who mysteriously awakens with magic powers during his 9-5 job (coffe-po-kun strikes again) and finds himself with the miraculous ability to do lightning!!! He joined the hunters association, a society created to fight monsters and raid dungeons and then from there on, it's ambition, struggle and a hero's journey!! The novel is great!!!! The author has mastered the art of describing combat scenes in a poetic manner, not often relying on verbose descriptors or chalky metaphors, but through an interesting style of epic lines and vivid imagery, theres a scene where Allen is fightning a minotaur and he literally just says he knows his magic wont work but he'll just fight it harder (in more poetic manner LOL) and that's the kind of action packed descriptors we have, like it's just great! While what I am reading now is still for the majority the same dungeon, with combat scenes, we are introduced to some great supporting characters, Tobias (leader), Evelyn (healer), Lilly (ranger), Marcus (trap expert), who really bring out team spirit and the party aspect of dungeon fighting to life. I guess Allen is DPS LOL. While they all are a little generic, they do feel fleshed out and have unique personalities, dialogue and reasonable quips, which makes it all more dramatic for what happens later.......anyway the author does an amazing job at writing dialogue, descriptions and making the characters feel alive. LIKE amazing, the dialogue really is simple, but it's believable and does a fantastic job of painting the fights and bringing everything to life.
The author essentially is a true and tested professional when it comes to pacing, and combat descriptors, we - Idiot MuffinRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The novel's story is pretty self evident from the synopsis. The author does not try to hide the fact that it's a solo-leveling type story, as most of the world building and plot devices and even terms come from solo-leveling. That said, it's a very refreshing take on this concept and shows a lightning based power that can erase anything on touching, which is honestly quite cool XD
I would love to see how it progresses and how his powers evolve into something even more awesome :)
The character development is decent with Allen starting off as a nobody who awakens, and then joins a team and startst he life of a hunter XD
His past, emotions, and psyche are explored in depth.
The side characters are interesting, my personal favourite was Marcus XD He was funny and tried to present his failure as victories haha, he gave a very human touch to the story.
The team dynamics are cool, with the individual members each specializing in certain powers, and the MC being the newbie among them :)
That said, the story definitely is an early draft, and needs to be fleshed out. Some of the world building, sensory details, and background information has to be layered, and some gramatical issues have to be fixed. But, those are really minor, and the story more than enough compensates for it.
The best part of the novel was how easy it was to read the prose of the novel XD You can easily speed-read through the prose without any loss of clarity, and the cinematic experience is quite simplistically presented. The author is definitely talented in writing. Looking forward to reading more of the chapters :) - NeemsayRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0General Overview:

There are a few spots where the descriptions could be pared down for even more impact, but nothing feels out of place. It’s immersive and easy to read, which is perfect for this kind of story.
Character Development:
Allen’s growth is subtle but compelling. You can feel his nervousness and excitement as he transitions from being an outsider to claiming his place among the Awakened. Ove - NaumFaruqRoyal Road★★★ 2.5An edge fest. Mc reads like he is an asshole for the sake of being an asshole, author likes to throw around terms like absolute this and absolute that then a couple sentences later "but not really", fight scenes are mc going muh power!. It's a power fantasy where the author tries to make out the mc as some Byronic hero but only shows an edgy kid.
