My Hundredth Life

Description

I was an ordinary guy, living an ordinary life, until it happened. What we came to call the "Reality Break". Monsters started spawning in the streets, Mana flowed through our veins, Skills and Abilities were unlocked, and everyone had a Status Screen. I was living my dream, an RPG apocalypse! Until I died, that is. And woke up in a new world...where I died again. And again. With each death, a new incarnation, a new game world, and new scars upon my soul. Now, at my 99th death, I just wish it would end...but unlike in some of the worlds I have "played" in, this time my wish is not granted.

Author's Note: This is my first 'serious' attempt at writing a story. I am hoping to turn ths into a series that I can publish to Amazon, but my life is a bit hectic right now, so I can't make any guarantees. However, I have serious reasons for writing at this point in my life, so I will do my best to provide this new twist to the LitRPG genre and keep it up for as long as possible. Thank you, to anyone who reads this.

*Also, tags might change depending on how the story goes, there may be mild profanity or mild sexual content, but I have not decided yet.

A gifted writer, who is crafting a story that will be publishable as a paperback once the required bulk of around 250--300 pages has been generated (hopefully with a satisfactory story arc resolution, of course).
The protagonist is not necessarily likeable but given his background this is forgivable. He has the major virtue --- one often neglected in reincarnation stories --- of actually benefiting from and making use of the accumulated experience from previous lives. The author has also saved us, thank Zog, from those dreadful drawnout accounts of the reincarnated character being born that afflict so much xianxia.
In any litrpg the emphasis must be on the metered improvement of characters' abilities and attributes. The system of skills and levels in this story is interesting, and explores the notion that the status table reflects actual skills or abilities the character has developed. This means that levelling up does not provide free points to be distributed according to the character's desires. Points are instead automatically allocated to reflect time and effort the character has previously invested.
The protagonist in this story is not quite a lone wolf, despite having a very independent and self-sufficient philosophy. The side characters have their own personalities and act in believable ways.
Technically the writing is very good, which eases the nerves of my inner grammar nazi.
My compliments to the author, and may we have more, please.

The plot for this story is very interesting. I have read re-incarnation novels and I have read novels that are based around a second life for everyone, but never have I read a story that combines these two aspects and in such a unique way.
Style and Story are well done and I have no complaints with them. Grammar is nothing major, maybe just a proof reader to get rid of a few mistakes, in one of the earlier chapter you have written "not a not" which probably should have been "now, a not" sorry for the lack of context.
I like the character but he seems random? Kind of like he has an outline but small little bits are being added here and there because you got an idea while writing the chapter, I am also guilty of this, but besides this I can only hope that Corny starts to explain a few things in detail like how the system works and a few other things like cores and stuff.
but overall this is a very good story and is worth the read.
