- RznRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5An unreliable narrator is a difficult thing to pull off, mostly because the way it is handled needs to be done with care. This is one such example where a dream, hallucination or other aspect becomes central to the plot and yet the ending itself takes it in a different direction. It fundamentally challenges the story, and it introduces a new aspect that goes beyond a narrator that is unreliable. I am not sure if it is intentional, but it introduces doubts in the final line that change how the story can be perceived. A good short story, but a bit vague on the details.
