Monsters Among Us

The world wasn't prepared for the virus. It spread rapidly and efficiently, changing people into undead cannibals.

The military could've handled the walkers, the shambling and decomposing messes that posed very little threat.

However, when night falls, the night hunters come. Deformed, horrid creatures that are fast, silent, and extremely deadly.

The military is wiped out by this new threat, and society close behind.

20 years later, in an abandoned underground lab, our protagonist awakes.

How will this play out?

Heya! This is my second attempt at a story. This is a modified version of an old story I wrote in middle school! Not sure how often I'll update this, I guess it'll depend on how well it's received! Constructive criticism is welcome! Point out any mistakes! Enjoy!

P.S, as I played the game "Dying light" recently, the night hunters in this story are relatively loosely based upon the volatiles found the game.
