Overall good writing, although the dialogues at times become a bit too long and deep for my taste. Also, there's some mistakes, like Lilly having a prostate for some reason, and some descriptions are pretty vague. For example, did they get dissolved and then reformed human bodies, or were the bodies stored in the goo? What happened to the planet sized chunk of goo? Why was Lilly powerful enough to reset everything after being supposedly overpowered? How did Lilly become so callous in the simulation?
And, most importantly, this needs some kind of tag like Tragic, Heartbreak or No HEA. Just putting Drama or Psychological, and especially since it has the Romance tag, doesn't prepare the reader for an ending with just one half happy person. I was rooting for some resolution or miracle until the final chapter and got seriously upset at the ending. Reminded me of the Ascension series by L. Fergus, where I only caught on in book three or so that it's just an endless repeating cycle of two people hurting each other instead of actual romance.
Again, it's not bad because it's not my cup of tea, but I didn't know that until the last chapter.
