Modesty was key in mavis's life with her mother who was a controlling narcissist and her father was a drunk. All throughout her life she was in and out of the foster care system with her younger sister Willow. But after every stay at a new foster home her parents were right there to pick her up. They had the "perfect family" facade, which made it incredibly easy for her parents to get Mavis and Willow back. But at one point isn't it enough?
