Mockingbird Antebellum is a dark fantasy set in a world not too dissimilar from the ordinary. Truth be told, one living there might well think there is nothing strange going on. There are no secrets here, only plausible deniability. It is—without a doubt—a place where the idea of the supernatural is treated as ridiculous. Superstition remains strong well into the age of reason and skepticism has never, and will never, become as powerful as it would be in another timeline. Simply put, those things that run in the dark are so rare that—as the population doubled for several centuries—people just have an easier time dismissing oddities.
