- VeldorRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Just finished book 2 and wow. This is really good. I really don't know how to tell you how good without spoiling it but wow. Everything it does it does well. It's just fun to read, it can get deep too but its perfectly balanced. Not much to say beyond WOW!
- Morticia MeanRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Really entertaining! has everything i love in a story and quite alot of unique aspects, the thing i love the most would probably be the progression, its not too slow and not too fast, the mc experiences some setbacks along the way that make the whole thing that more thrilling and exciting while being conveyed in a way that isnt upsetting. I definitly recommend people to read this!
- OuranosGiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So far, Mobs has a solid start! Author provides interesting flash backs that continue to provide context to characters decisions, which I really appreciate! We are just beginning to see the implimentation of magic and the LitRPG elements, but I am impressed so far! Very excited to see where the story goes and to watch our characters stronger!!
- RepanoRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I'm a big sucker for monster isekais/reincarnations - particularly when they're actually monsters. One problem that pops up pretty consistently is they're essentially humans who look like monsters.
While there are certainly human aspects to the creatures that we encounter, it's done in a believable and satisfying way.
The combat is interesting and power progression is at a medium pace (not too fast, not too slow) which is usually where I like to sit.
Major characters feel distinct, and while some are certainly explored much deeper than others (and others left to the sidelines after a while) you certainly don't feel like they unbelievable or carbon copies of one another. - KvazRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I love Monster Evolution Stories and I like Monster Isekais. So I when I saw Mobs description I had to give it a try and hit the jackpot. A good monster evolution story that is not on hiatus and gets new chapters regularly.
It's well written and the grammar is good. The characters and story are both really good as well, but it it does have a rather fast pacing which isn't for everyone.
The author also has a consistent upload schedule and has returned after his first small holiday break to start the second Volume / Season. He also actively responds to any comments here or on his discord. So with that in mind I can only recommend this story. - TazKhaelyorRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Monster isekai done right, with a good balance between different elements and a really good writing style. The setting is original, well thought and only adds to the story. 500 pages in, a lot is still left to be unveiled, but not in a frustrating way IMO. Author manages to make the world building not feel like exposition at all so far, mostly thanks to the chapters focusing on alternate points of view, but even more minor characters have depth and motivations in setting that aren't "because the author wished it so", and even when it's not shoved into your face, you can still feel that every character are evolving and reacting to the changes going on.
I'm surprised I haven't seen this story before, as it falls right in my usual search queries, but I'm glad I found it now. That said, I usually grade rather more harshly than is common on RR, and consider 3 stars a good way to spend time reading, 4 star a great story, and 5 star close to perfect.
I don't usually do advanced review, so bear with it please.
Style : As said above, the greatest strength of this story. A well weaved mesh of multiple varying elements that manages to keep a really delicate balance between not only different genres but different writing styles and objectives in the same writing. Managing to mix world building, character motivations, LitRPG and Xianxia/cultivation into a single cohesive action scene isn't something that I've found often. This author not only manages that, but goes a few steps beyond that with some dread/horror overtones slighly sprinkled in the overarching narrative, and have the flow of battle not only feel good, but have it serve as more elements to characterize even minor characters. I have no idea how the author manage it, but it's brilliant !
Story : While not as complex as the style, it still manages to weave a riveting story with varying elements without ever dropping the main focus. I read the 500 pages in basicaly one sitting (sadly had to sleep a few hours in the midd - Ham EleonRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0WE PROTECT THE PEAK!
A unique story. Some aspects of it I didn't like but overal great. Now most of my review will have some serious spoilers but I'll try to limit it, just easier to write it after i finished. First of all the main weak point is the wholeeee gods part and the symbolism. Richard was a spineless loser and sucked at any social interaction. His wife was fine but his dad was the dark force of cringe, he became just a flat villain whos only goal was to be evil and die by corruption cus richard seen him as the big bad but he was literally just fine from memories. Mean and stern but fine. Bro was turned into DR DADDY ISSUES. Another aspect i didn't like was the damage and how finnicky it was- a hit might explode someone or do jack nothing depending on if plot demands it, energy might be near infinite or sputtering (usually infinite while apparently sputtering) and theres several other inconsistencies like why if there was an op potion didn't they use it more? They used like none. At least the emperor who outlasts his opponents would have a healing potion? How was father suddenly stronger then noctus when noctus had many op races and was ancient but father had some dudes? He was getting whooped then boom, DEUS ex machina. why did old monsters not farm orbs to grow stats? Was demon emporer the only one on the grind mindset to raise his stats above C? It doesn't even take that much. How did noris ragtag army of adolescent slave goblins actually escape from demons if all of them was apparently on the level of elites? Why did the first one not give gi any insider knowledge on secret tasks before he rez-ed? Free power ups or are there no secret tasks at higher stages? He had massive storage they could have jam packed with godly artifacts and they gave him like 3 one of which he seemed to have promptly forgotten?. Anyways it might seem theres a lot of criticism but thats just because its easier to remember when something is off then every moment of the good stuff - WickedRisRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I've just finished volume 1 and I loved it! The story and characters are great. Without giving massive spoilers MC is a human who reincarnated and becomes a monster. He receives visions and begins to believe in his Goddess. It may sound like the typical reincarnation story, but I assure it is most definitely not! MC's actions cause ripples that even he isn't aware of. The majority of the story is told through MC's perspective, but the author does add other p.o.v.s throughout and it just makes the story even better. The only con is the grammar. Don't worry it's not terrible or bad per se. Some missing words here and there or autocorrect doing it's unhelpful thing. Sometimes the capitalization is off or past and present tense being inconsistant. It's not enough to impede your understanding of the story, thankfully. I think this story is worthy of being read :)
- ZealousGuy36Royal Road★★★ 3.0The title pretty much says it all, the start is quite unlike any other in the genre, with a different kind of system and progression that for some people may be all they need to want to keep with the story. It is challenging to explain exactly what made me drop this series without giving spoilers. The interactions between the MC's memories and the story are frustrating at the best of times, let alone after a particular individual becomes more and yet still has no control over what they can send to the MC despite what they are. I would say it['s worth a shot to read and give a chance but may be a hit or a miss if you are a long-term lit RPG reader.
