Description
Aldritch of clan Blackshield is older than dirt and tired of just living day to day with no hope for the future.
A half-giant Dwarf by birth, a cleric by class, a soldier by duty, and a survivor by necessity. Aldritch has lived through more wars than he cares to recall. He's seen kingdoms rise and empires buried beneath the sands of time, and he personally witnessed the appearance of the first portal that bridged the gap between the demon realm and his home world. That portal was the catalyst that caused a chain reaction, which eventually led to the death of his world.
However, this isn't the end of Aldritch's story. And his next great adventure will take him to faraway lands where he'll make new friends, new enemies, discover a newfound love... And kill enough demons to drown the world in their blood.
Sulika Wysarie is the current leader of the Azuris' Hunter's Guild 3rd closing team. She lives with her lifelong friend; part time genius potion maker and shop owner, and full-time flirt - Faeyra Silverowl. The two of them have shared a secret since they were kids - Sulika is the sole surviving member of her family, a Kitsune, and more importantly, an heir to the mythical nine-tailed fox.
An oracle with a 90% accuracy rating has forewarned the hunter's guild that a group of cultists intend to open a portal to the demon realm right in the heart of their beloved city... But no one takes her seriously. No one, save for Sulika and her team. Now it's up to a Kitsune sorceress and her team to save their beloved city from the claws of demons. And in doing so, bring upon the world a walking calamity of anger and destruction.

- white_rabbitRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Got some heavy D&D influences, but so far seems kind of.. like if adventuring was an office job? A bit more laid back than a normal D&D.
Not to say there isn't fights and adventure, but the characters feel like very normal people who happen to murder things for a paycheck.
The two main characters are interesting, a bored warrior of insane power and a spell blade who is just trying to keep her party alive and in the black at the end of the month. Given what he has lived through (basically magic Fallout), he seems pretty well adjusted. She's more concerned with making sure her party doesn't overextend on a delve and trying to convince herself to get out of bed before the coffee gets cold and find her sword for work.
Style is very smooth, haven't noticed any grammar issues. The characters are fun, and the world building seems very normal D&D type things so far (planes with endless hordes of demons, greedy dragons, beastkin etc).
I love his first reaction upon being introduced to the world system, pretty funny.
Pretty early so far in the writing, so it's hard to say if any plot holes or anything pop up, but it's very clean so far. Looking forward to more. - Jarlalle OurosRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Follow a pair of overpowered Chocolate Addicts, as they form bonds, slaughter devils, and... find a way to never run out to Chocolate Milk.
The MC is a Dwarf, which are a freaking favourite race of mine, so this story immididiately gets at least 3 stars from that. Then you have floofy fox girls, another 2 stars! Then you add the sense of adventure, fleshed out characters, and the rest of the story which in itself is easly a 4 star!
Overall rating: 9/5 *
Don't hesitate to read it! - Sacred-FireRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Wow, this is just top notch fiction here. I just smashed all the 5 stars.
I super love the blend of genres and styles he. The divine, arcane, and pact magic system reminds me a lot of D&D and Baldurs Gate. I'm sure I'm not the only person who is tickled by that, considering everyone is playing it. The dungeon system is quite familiar, but you put your own twist on that too.
What I loved most was the characters. I normally hate being introduced to a 'party' cast of characters immediately but the author executed it in such an artful way that I had no problem keeping track of who is who. The coloured text was a clever way to tell them apart. But even without that I think it would still work well just because Rewrite has made them all so memorable.
ReWrite's writing style is smooth as silk, super easy to sink into and lose track of time. I didn't notice any grammar issues.
The story is obviously building up into something big, we get that impression right away from meeting Aldritch and his dragon god buddy. Im super to see how it all develops and to learn more about the history of these worlds and see how the characters and power scaling develops.
Well done, I am honestly very impressed. - SyntheticAberrationRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I'm not sure if this story was dropped but I hope it wasn't, I was letting it build up and realized that it has stopped updating.
I hope the author is doing alright and that the story will continue at some point.
Hopefully we get continued updates in the future. - TarboRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The writing style is refreshingly clean and easy to read. Although I am unused to perspectives shifting mid chapter without obvious separations between POVS, yet it somehow works. The concept and world building is interesting so far and I’m enthralled with Aldrich. He isn’t an edge lord, he feels more like a lonely grandpa who’s been starved for stimulation for hundreds of years, but isn’t stupid in the new world. He’s practical but doesn’t really try and hide his power, which fits with his whole ideology around positive pride. Looking forward to more chapters!
- ZakesRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is different. I like the way it's written. The way the author makes you imagine things you didn't even consider possible, the way he introduces his lively characters and the way he constructed his main character is just.. perfect. it's an addictive story that will kick you in the nuts cause of long update time.
Except the update time though, this story is bloody fantastic. The blend of classes and how the dungeons interact with the rest of the world is well thought out. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a good read. - shiranai nanikaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0English isn't my native language so if there is grammar error please skip it.
This novel just hits all points for me ,OP mc with no harem, not a pacifist or murder hobo, you can feel how time turn him to a person not shy away using force but using in appropriate situation, world building is awesome second favourite after MC, only down side now is needs more frequent updates. - ArcanaVitaeRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The two main characters are both really interesting in how their world views, skills and way of interacting with the world is very unique and reflective of their more unique experiences. The world building of this story is also really fascinating and really pulls me deeper and deeper into the story.
- jrl5432Royal Road★★★★ 3.5Standard RoyalRoad fare. This is a story about an overpowered protagonist who is transplanted into a dungeon-delving society. The premise is alright - it's not so new or original, but there's enough there to pique your interest. There is some brief setup for the story, with main characters, antagonists and a rough outline of the world, but the story quickly delves into the problems our main character faces as she helps her counterpart adapt to his new society.
There are some problems that really impede enjoyment of the novel. In some cases, the world-building is sloppy. Often, the characters describe aspects of the world to the reader - it would have been better to show the reader more. There isn't much foreshadowing or presentation to these elements outside of a quick "this is the way it is" expository conversation between two characters.
There are also problems of coherence - many of the situations don't seem to work together as presented to the reader. It's possible there is a cohesive whole, but the author does not help you in finding it. The story would have benefited from a different style of exposition showing more of the world.
Finally, the characters themselves are not especially sympathetic or relatable. The author writes certain scenes and somewhat "assumes" the reader will relate to them. I didn't like any of the characters that the author presented and it is a problem in a character-driven narrative.
Plot aside, there are some issues in the structure of the story. The "prologue" is no prologue at all and should have simply been "chapter 1". In fact, the story would have really benefited from a true prologue outlining the world and broader context of this novel.
Overall, it's still a decent read, if you can get past these problems. If the reader doesn't want to think too much or if the reader truly connects with the characters presented then this will be worth the time to read it. Otherwise, it does not rise above the "simply decent" level. A rough 7-7.5 - AnnoyedafRoyal Road★★★ 3.0What's with the weird chapter naming scheme? Anyway start was good, first 15 royalroad (not author if that makes sense) chapters were good.
Few issues become quite apparent quickly though
1) Last few chapters has had weird tone shifts in chapter that makes it hard for me to read.
2) Comedy is INCREDIBLY forced.
3) Characters are one dimensional.
4) Story is very slow paced.
5) Worldbuilding looks to be quite generic, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
