The story is fascinating and draws you in immediatly. While being thrust into the story it almost feels like you are along for the ride since you are left in the dark in many ways and hoping to find out more as well.
The dialogue is well-written, with the characters' personalities and emotions shining through, adding depth and believability to the story. The author has done an excellent job of creating an air of mystery surrounding the characters, making the reader curious about their pasts and their connections to the shadowy figures pursuing them.
The detailed and vivid descriptions of the characters' physical appearances and their surroundings help to immerse the reader in the story. The protagonist's unique eyes and her attempts to hide her scars add an interesting layer to her character, while also hinting at a complex past. The interactions between the two main characters are engaging and keep the reader invested in their evolving relationship.
I would mention that some things seem awkward at times. The dialogue sometimes seems to be a bit random or sudden. For example when blake made a quip at Kya she just got up to leave. It seems like it needs a little more explanation, or the dialogue needs to be written out more.
Overall, I really liked the story and am excited to see more.
