Three ordinary high school students—Valerie, Adrian, and Riley—are drawn to an abandoned graveyard by mysterious forces. Through lit candles and ancient magic, they're transported to another world by Lady Amara, the Goddess of Love, who needs warriors to stop the Shadow Monarch from consuming two worlds in darkness.
Each receives incredible power, but with a devastating curse: Valerie becomes a tank who feels the pain of those she protects, Adrian an assassin forgotten by anyone who looks away, and Riley a healer trapped in an unexpected new form. As they struggle with their transformations and curses,
But in a world where every gift demands a price and reflections hide terrible truths, our heroes will discover that the greatest battles aren't just against the shadows—but against who they're becoming.

- MaryVerraRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This book is good, and there are a lot of good thing but I don't think you're reading this for what it does good.
Pacing is the biggest issue. Chapter 2 particularly struggles with this - sometimes rushing through important moments while lingering too long on less significant details. The transition from their arrival in town to the battle feels especially abrupt.
Descriptions need more attention. While we know Amara's Haven has a statue and pink crystals, we don't get a clear picture of the town's layout or atmosphere. More environmental details would help readers immerse themselves in the world.
The world-building information comes in chunks rather than flowing naturally through the story. Consider spreading this information out more organically through dialogue and character observations.
Character reactions, while generally good, sometimes feel inconsistent. For example, they seem to accept their status windows and inventory system with minimal surprise. Their adjustment to these game-like elements could use more development.
The battle scenes need clearer choreography. While the action is exciting, it's sometimes difficult to track where characters are in relation to each other and their surroundings.
These issues aside, the curse system and character dynamics show promise. Focus on smoothing out the pacing, adding more descriptive details, and developing the world-building more naturally.
