Mirrorborn

When Cherish's father passes away, her world crumbles. Her mother, distant and swallowed by her job, offers no comfort, and a jarring transfer to a new school leaves Cherish adrift in a sea of unfamiliar faces. Then, the unimaginable happens—she awakens as an Empowered. In a world where those with abilities—known as the Empowered or "masks"—are commodities for corporations and the remnants of the government, Cherish refuses to become a pawn in their game.

But she isn’t just any mask—she might be one of the most potent. With her newfound determination to carve her path as a rogue, Cherish is thrust into a volatile game, caught between the omniscient gaze of corporate moguls and warring rogue factions who see her as a threat. To find happiness in this dystopian world, Cherish must become her own fortress. Only time will tell if she can rise against the odds—or if she'll shatter under the pressure.
