Long post ahead with a LOT OF SPOILERS, sorry for the errors, i am not a native English speaker.
    RANT MODE: ON  REEEEEEEEEE!!!
    As of chapter 179
I am glad she finally get "strong", because i was really getting impatient with her as a main character, she:
    is not strong-willed
    is not super smart
    is not creative
    is not original
    is not funny
have (and still have) no awareness of the world she lives
With all the things that happened to her, she still too naive, too clueless, too weak-willed, too trusty. that doesn't make any sense she was nearly abducted, nearly raped, got personally mentored by team of experts, nearly got sold by slavers, her familiar killed innocents, killed 2 defenseless slavers, betrayed, kissed and played by a shape shifting horror, nearly got eaten alive by the horror, lost one of her former close friend, survived an invasion of merman man-eater, witnessed the destruction or her city, lost her master, got imprisoned, questioned, killed a defenseless person again, got mentored by a team of experts again, killed a defenseless person again not once but twice in a row. AFTER ALL OF THIS, her character development feel pretty weak.
It would have been pretty good if one her close friend, would have been severely injured because of her naiveness during her field trip in the slums of Shanghai. Her remorse for killings Slavers (people who are solding human beings, WHO ARE FATED TO BE EATED, RAPED OR ENSLAVED) was really out of place, she was nearly a victim of one of them for FUCK SAKE.
What I also find annoying is the fact that every time she do something, something wrong happen:
First mission outside, she get abducted
First mission in the slums, shit got batshit crazy
First team match outside, an invasion happen her city is destroyed
First time outside Australia, she get abducted (again)
First time in a club, she get harassed and to duel a Magus veteran body guard
First exam of the year, she get dueled for a whattheheck reason
    First time outside Shanghai

One of the best here. It’s a slow read but very well detailed. I love the characters and they all have a fleshed out quirks to them. The magic system is very well detailed and explained in a proper way. The world building is also one of the best I’ve ever read, putting in politics and economics from real world countries and then infusing it with Demi-humans? Fantastic.

Binge read the entire novel in two weeks (I could not stop myself) . It is simply incredible!
There is no drop in suspense in the novel, there are always more elements of mystery that keeps the novel alive. Things happen in unexpected ways and small bits of  information seem to piece itself together to form a complete puzzle. I found myself glued to my phone, reading this late into the night.
    Thank you for the novel!

There may be smaller stories that are more engaging and some bigger stories that have better technical writing. But this is without any doubt the best big transmigration fantasy story here. Yes, I hold this story even above The Wandering Inn. (Pirateaba is an excellent writer, but is currently writing a world documentary on >200 characters - I need a reference guide to follow her story)
The metaworld chronices is well-written, imaginative and gripping, with a consistent magic system and a likeable protagonist  (Gwen) who works hard in her new life with the story focused on her.
There are some truly scary enemies, really great friends and mentors, horrific betrayal, shades of humour, meat-filled chapters (not some measly half-page fluff) and breathtaking action whenever Gwen finds herself in trouble. Gwen gains her strength and groove slowly in this world, but you feel it whenever she crosses a milestone or masters a spell.
The author has also become better at his craft as time passes. I feel the later chapters are written better than the intial ones.
Some minor niggles - the author goes a bit overboard on clothes though. This happens far less and less as time passes. Gwen is a fashionista who pays a great deal of attention to what she wears, which I initially found irritating but somewhat funny. I had to google so many things...I didn't know I was so illiterate at garments.
I always look forward to the next chapter whenever it comes out. I also bought the Kindle book to support him and re-read the whole story from scratch when it was published.

This is my favorite novel on this site, not only because it is refreshing to read a novel taking place in a modern-ish magic world, but also because the author manages to keep the content fresh and interesting despite the high word-count.
While other novels have a strong protagonist that bulldozes over problems and enemies this far into their stories, Gwen, the MC here, gets stronger as one would expect, but is still at a level where all sorts of situations can potentially turn out poorly for her.
A large part of the reader's enjoyment comes from interpersonal interactions, not just from physical (or rather magical) conflict. And boy, are those well-written. This part of the novel is certainly one of the most outstanding, compared to every other novel here, and subjectively every other novel elsewhere, famous bestselling works included. Every major and many minor character on both parts of the good-evil spectrum comes with their own motivation, quirks and reasoning. Few bad guys/gurls are just bad for the sake of plot.
The drama is good without being edgy, the fights are exciting and the worldbuilding lacks any large holes.
If I had to name one thing I don't like, there is little romance or eroticism. There should really be more sex. Seriously, like ten times more. It's a bunch of powerful, excentric teenagers often times unsupervised, there should really be plenty of that.
Everyone should read this novel and force at least two more people to read it as well, for their own sakes.

Started reading book one by Amazon by chance, and consider it a lucky break for finding a darn good alternate earth read. Got the 2nd book on Amazon and then google lead me here when I wanted more, which was basically the same time I put down my kindle after finishing book 2.
    Stories are driven by conflict.
There is lots of conflict in this novel, and it drags you in wondering what the price paid by the MC along their journey will be, and where it will lead. Some of it culture conflict with their expectations, some of it just their flesh memories conflicting with their 'soul' memories - which something I've not seen used much and was a good touch.
The story starts lightly, sets up the scene, sets up the MC, and paints a picture of their initial circle. Then it sets its heels in place, and as the MC is picking themselves up digs in its heels and gets moving, and really rarely stops.
Its a dark fantasy setting but not heavy handed in its touches to let you know its a dark world without dwelling on the unneeded details, its written for people that know the world can be cruel, and unfair, and the world Gwen is in isn't a nice one or safe. Though she certainly meets some nice people along the way, she also meets enough folks seeking their pound of flesh in one way or another.
Its a written as a web novel so some things will get repeated along the way, its the nature of the content refreshing the images in your mind from weeks ago when it was mentioned. I like the consistant voice the author used, and the fact change in POV were clear, and added details that helped you get the feel for the shoes others were walking in not just for the sake of word count.
In finishing its a bloody ripper of a series - thanks for all the hours of entertainment, looking forward to many hours to come.
Now to go read it again, cause there was a lot going on at times, and I'm certain  I didn't catch it all in one run through.

First post on this site and I made this account with this sole purpose in mind.
I found this story through dumb luck and was very surprised that I enjoyed it so much. I managed to read everything up to chapter 343 in about a week. I really like the premise of a world with magic and such complex magic at that, like taking a scientific approach to magical power. The system is very interesting, as it borrows elements from D&D and lore as well. There are points that are rough around the edges where magic is concerned (the MC's Familiars being so strong, especially Cali, for example) that skirts the line of Mary Sue but these weaknesses are not too excessive IMO.
The narrative could use some polishing up. There are scenes that seem so disjointed from the overall story that I've had to go back and check to make sure that I didn't miss a chapter or point of view section. Thankfully these disorienting moments are few, but still, they exist.
I've really enjoyed binging the series up to this point and I am seriously morose now that I must wait for new chapters to be published. For any fellow readers, are there any other strong stories like this one? I'm in great need of new reading material!

I gave up on chapter 8.
I’m not sure if I gave up too early but I had to force myself to read to here.
Mots in the synopsis so it’s not a spoiler to say that the MC wakes up in the new world. Something happens within the first 2-3 hours at school and she’s already in despair about her life. Like, you’ve only been there for a few hours. Wouldn’t you be confused about yourself, your family, the magic and so on. Hell, you should be confused about the weird memories you have. What’s making you go into instant depression.
From the second chapter it was a bit better. Here she actually had reasons for feeling sad/depressed. But then weird shit happens. She uses magic twice by accident and once intentionaly and then two months later (7-8 th chapter) she’s like “two months and I still can’t use a single spell”.
EVERYONE in the world awakens their talent instantly yet only she has to wait months for hers to happen.
and what was with the use of words in chapters one and two? Without reading the glossary, how are we meant to understand anima, sigils, conjuratuon and the other magics? At least explain things before or while using them. And several times things like magical platforms and magic messages are mentioned. What are those? What do they look like? How do they work?
i expected better for something in the top rated list. Maybe I’m giving up too early but I just can’t.

    Is the story complete?: NO
Did I drop the story?: YES
Is it hard to read?: NO
Did it do something to stand out?: YES
    Would I recommend it?: NO
    Thoughts:
Superimposing a fantasy world over our own should have been a perfect recipe for an amazing story as the premise was fresh and interesting, alas unfortunately the story fails to capitalize on this as nothing in the world had truly change to accommodate what is basically the D&D-like systems in our world. That and our MC ticking off every box of being "extra special" is strong and present.
How I format my review, keep in mind they are for the readers not the authors:
    - The story starts with 5 stars.
    - I remove 1 star if it is not complete.
    - I remove 1 star if I dropped the story.
    - I remove 1 star if it's hard to read (odd word choice, grammar, etc).
    - I remove 1 star if it fails to do something that stands out. (Funny, Unique premise or perspective etc)
    - I remove the 1 to 1/2 if I would not recommend it to read regardless of score.
Thought: A summary of my personal take.

i will explain my advance rating for the story first.
Style - The author has done good work of including different POVs to make the story feel complete and it helps in world building with extra information.
Story - The story is focused too much on how to better kill people using magic was expecting better as the MC is a reincarnation.
Grammar- The grammar is good, but the author uses too many difficult words and slang which kind of obstruct the reading flow.
Character-  Character growth is there but it's minimal and showed incompletely.
    Pros
The author has tried to show what would happen if the world was separated between people who can use magic and who can't in the modern society.
The story also shows how extreme discrimination can get with few abilities.
    Cons
The magic dynamics  focuses too much on how to kill, destroy more efficiently. There are many useful aspects of magic which are not exploited properly in the story.
First , since the MC's is a reincarnated individual, I was expecting she will use her knowledge or past life experience to gain advantages in this life but guess what , expect for emotional drama it's not used anywhere.
The author has used MC's previous life just for stating she had gone through some rough family drama. MC's reincarnation is kind of pointless in the story
2nd the MC's is becoming more and more like Chinese MC's from manhwa😩.
On her  awakening day she got despairing future prospects and I thought she will use her wits and experience to make most of it but in the next few chapters she becomes a dual element and dual class prodigy 😩
The MC's has no character or personality at all. She changes her personality as required for the situation. Some may she's adaptable but no MC's is just a chameleon.
3rd MC has become a gold spoon. In Sydney she had best teachers and backing from her grandfather and same thing in China arc.
4th The MC's is a hypocrite, she talks big about noblesse oblige , accountability and responsibility but in many si
