Taking the form of a letter of expulsion to the presumed main character, this prologue is written quite well, and the content is beyond intriguing. The main character is supremely talented with fire magic, yet using it also harms himself. The strongest flames burn through their fuel the fastest, and this is no different. Watching him overcome this would be a great story in and of itself, so I can't help but enjoy this story for what it sets up it's future to be.

This is short piece that is essentially an angry letter describing the frustrations surrounding an incident. It is rather basic and it does not have a lot of depth, relying on telling to get the point across. The piece could use a copyedit and some spacing to improve readability. It would also be better to begin with laying out the scene even in a letter, I think.-
