    I normally dislike bard stories, but this stories grim dark midieval world with magic has caught and held my intrest so far. This story's main character is smart and likable, the other characters in the book also have believable personalities. The author hasn't gone off on tangent characters too often yet, which I appreciate. The author keeps the story at a good pace and quality but, if your looking for updates three times a week or more look elsewhere or wait until you can binge.

    The good:
    - imitation of medieval society is quite good, arguably the closest to reality of all novels on RR: villagers are basically lord's property, hunting prohibited, drafts, famines, chamberpots etc.;
    - antagonists are not complete evil, they are people making wrong choices or having different beliefs;
    - progression speed is slow and enjoyable.
    The average:
    - magic usage is opaque, there's no clear system so far (like stats exist but strangely no one is apparently interested to know them; it's also unclear due to what MC grows in strength, whether people generally grow all the time etc.) - hope this will be explained later;
    - as people already mentioned, almost no one is surprised at child MC acting like an adult all the time; other children also behave more mature than they should, but this is a common fault among authors.
    The bad:
    - family names are inconsistent - eg. Gwenda has 'Hazelwood' as family name, but no one else (capital nobility including) does not have one;
    - nobles are supposed to be obsessed with lineages and titles, and for sure they would know all major nobles of the country, but here MC with no known background is invited to a noble party: 'I'm from the East - ah, ok'; compare this to classic books like Count of Monte Cristo for example,

    There are alot of great things about this story. The worldbuilding is good and the magic system is creative. There are some good twists and setup-payoffs and the characters are deep. But the brst thing aboit this story is the amazing pacing coupled with there being no stereotypically evil characters. All the characters have their own hopes, dreams and desires and the villains are just those whose desires crosses with the protagonists as we the readers obiously favor her. This and the amazingly thought out pacing of the story makes us able to follow Alana through her life and really get the feeling that this is the story of a person and not just some selfinsert for at power fantasy. All in all amazing novel, one of the best. If i should just a bit of critisism for contrast it would be that while the characters seen from Alans perspective are very different and each personality shines through, the shifts in perspective to some of those characters, explaining their inner thoughts, take a very simmiliar tone to Alana's inner thoughts. Another small point of criticism is that there are a bit of spelling errors but they are all clearly typos and easily looked over.

    Probably one of my favorite stories on trending recently, I strongly recommend this to anyone who likes classic fantasy.
    A special note on the isekai:  the isekai is light with this one, basically just an explanation for why a tiny child acts like an adult, and why adults treat the child as if she's older than she is.  I feel like there needs to be more explanation for why upper-class people would, basically, enslave a six-year-old just because they have magic, but I also suppose "it's war" makes sense.
    Style: The style is eminently readable - frequent small timeskips as we work through the MC's younger years.  Exposition makes sense since she is, after all, a small child being given instruction.  It never gets dense enough to be off-putting, and the MC's interest is about on par with mine.  Paragraphs are reasonably sized, chapters are mostly reasonably sized, and it all adds up to feel really nice.
    Story: The story is about as bog-standard as it gets from traditional young-adult published fantasy novels, which is saying a lot for something on royal road.  I can see this being a book I could check out from my local library.  Now, it being bog-standard isn't a bad thing, considering that the story is still in its early stages, and I'm measuring it against something that Tor would publish.  There's class politics, there's national politics, there are delightful hints at undercurrents and foreshadowing.  There's enough going on that I'm happy to make conjectures about where the story is going, and what roles different characters will have.  That's a good thing.  Secondly, the "there's a war, so there's a draft, so there's famine, so there's rebellion" storyline is pretty well-done.
    Grammar:  Reasonably good.  Excellent for a self-published, non-edited web novel.  Some commas missing here and there with dialogue are probably the thing I've noticed most.
    Characters: This is where the story really shines.  The characters are understandable, unique, and interesting whethe

    Story is very cool, hadn't read a non litrpg progression and this was very refreshing.
    Character is cool and makes sense, I know this review is lacking buut I think it's decent.
    But tldr It's good at what it's trying to do.

    This is the story of Alana's life, and I so very enjoyed it. I felt like I was witnessing a real person grow up, including all the ups and downs, peace and conflict, and growth of character. That last point was good, since in other stories, reincarnated characters are locked into their personality and beliefs from when they were an adult in our world. Alana just took that as a starting point and continued growing as a person from there. Not that there was anything wrong with her starting personality, since this isn't a Japanese isekai.
    There's no 1 genre to define the whole story, except maybe fantasy biography, but I don't think that's a thing. This is a combination of progression fantasy, school, slice of life, action, romance, and everything else you'd expect to find in a real (fake) person's life. War is the driving conflict across most of the story. The MC spends most of her life trying to avoid fights, but the fights come to her anyway, often pushing the limit of how impossibly unlucky she is. Romance is a relatively small part of the story, but it's not just glossed over either.
    There's some typos, but not normally more than 1 or 2 per chapter, so it's no worse than most other RR stories. Other than that, sentence structure was great and I wasn't often distracted by bad grammar.
    One rather frustrating detail about the magic system is that it absolutely allows people with modern Earth knowledge to be much stronger than people without it... If they're a wizard. Alana is not a wizard. That said, she does still have a couple advantages in the long run, but nothing that makes her OP compared to the natives.

    Great story, had a fantastic time from start to finish. I really like how the author handles grief and pain, complex emotions that are often not properly conveyed in many other works that I've had the pleasure to read. Kudos to you author on such a wonderful world and heartfelt characters, I for one will not be forgetting this story and the impact it left behind.

    Review as of chapter 63 in Patreon.
    Really enjoying the story so far. Pacing is good, showing steady progression while still taking the time for world building and character development. Plotline is standard isekai (character dies and reincarnates into a magical world with their memories and some related advantages). Magic model is well thought out, balanced, and consistent. Main character struggles with the challenges of inconsistencies in her mental age and apparent physical age (not being taken seriously, etc) and handles it in a good way. Am enjoying her development and seeing her making her way in the world. Not a 'hard-stat' rpg. If you enjoy the genre you should give it a try.

    I feel like this is a very well done fantasy novel, it has been very enjoyable so far. The first arc in particular reminds me of ascendance of a bookworm. The protagonist is not OP and there are no indications that will change, and a lot of the writing has been very slice of life oriented, so be aware of that if you prefer power progression kind of fantasy. I found Alana, as well as her brothers and many of the other characters to be very relatable and have greatly enjoyed following them so far.
