Melancholic Dreams: The Witch’s Apprentice

My first story in the series of one-shots that originate exclusively from my dreams that I attempt to recall and portray to the best of my ability (mostly with a bit of editing to keep it linear and comprehensible).
A vast majority of them will probably fall within the category of romanticism or light-hearted adventure.
Not all of them are complete nor have a theme, as they are dreams, so my attempts to finish them might come off rigid or humorous in nature.
The Witch's Apprentice was a genuinely confounding dream that to this day leaves me quite stumped, but I can't help but recall it fondly to the point of me deciding to publish more of any further dreams I may have. It's short and sweet, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I still do!

- RznRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5This was a bit of an interesting premise and yet it stumbles over itself, and does not have a lot of awareness for the implications or even why the witch had made a grave error in normal circumstances. It moves along with good description, but the tone and the pacing seem a bit at odds at time. The conclusion hints at another story, but this is a one-shot. It was good.
