I'll be honest, I have been going through a bit of a fanfic phase, mainly Harry Potter, a few Pokemon, I don't believe I've seen anything even close to this level of quality in a fanfic yet. The other Naruto universe fanfictions pale in comparison to this one. Not even on the same level. I hope that the author eventually picks it up and starts a second part. I'm going to check their page now and make triple sure they haven't already written it because this is the kind of book you would be willing to wait years for if properly done.
Given the style of the writer even if it's not a Naruto fanfiction I will still be perusing the rest of their work, the humour, characters and settings just make me want to read more from the author in general.
In any following works based on this story it would be great to see a perspective change to his SO just to get a closer look at their internal debate/monologue. Personally I prefer these to be of the short and sweet variety, I hate it when perspective view changes too much, but if you add them in a little at a time they seem to really hit the mark. Too much kills a story for me, too little doesn't affect me, but if you add in just enough changes then it really does enhance the whole experience.

As someone who has wasted a significant amount of their life sifting through the mountains of trash Naruto fics on Fanfiction.net, it's enjoyable to find a story that is even half good.  This story is beyond that, with more than just a partially thought out plot and some elbow greece holding it together.  The world feels real and lived in with a timeline that doesn't pefectly bend to fit to the MC's goals.  The characters are real, flawed, and intertaining.  Most impresively, the plot is exciting, believable, and remarcably original (I've read so many Naruto fics and none are quite like this).
My only criticism to the author would be to get better at how you release these chapters.  This story deserves so much more recognition, but it's hard to get a following when you drop 7 long chapters all at the same time, rather than releasing 50 shorter ones gradually over a few months.  I'll take it either way, but I know how much easier it is to burn out on something you're clearly puting so much passion into when so few people care about it, compared to when you're getting the praise and recognition you deserve.
Please keep up the good work.  I actually logged into my RoyalRoad acount to favorite and follow this story.  Something I haven't done in years.

I read the original before it was put on hiatus. This is a marked improvement and still keeps the soul of the story.
Reading this truly highlights the complexity and absurdity of the Naruto narrative. Love the witty comedic package the information is presented with.
Keep the good work up. I'm eagerly awaiting Part 2.

A well written and interesting exploration of Naruto from the outside, with an amusing character and a fleshed out supporting cast. Author does a great job at writing, engaging material with minimal grammar, spelling, and prose issues. I am excited for them to revisit this eventually because I want to see the sequel, even if what is currently here does function as it’s own complete narrative.

Without a doubt the funniest MC I've read on this site. Sora's dialogue is just full of witty one-liners, and it's not the mean-spirited annoying kind either (except if your name is Karenbana, in which case it's extremely annoying because short people have a short temper).
I love Sora and Karenbana's relationship. What started as an annoying Client and angry Bodyguard has blossomed into an annoying Client and angry tsundere Bodyguard.
I also like how they're both adults, so there's no twiddling of thumbs like awkward shy teenagers. The two sleep with each other way before they anyone admits feelings for each other.
Their banter is also top notch, and when they add a third member into the party, it only enhances the banter.
The action is great too, and I applaud the author's decision of tackling the filler episodes. A smart move, as it gives the characters room to grow and acquire powerful items and abilities, and affect the world without derailing the main plot too much. Although, given that this "complete" story is actually just "Part 1", I'd reckon if there was a "Part 2" sequel, it'll get into main story meddling quickly.
I like the approach to the MC's gamer ability too. There's status screens, but they're used sparingly - and that instantly makes it better than 99.9% of all Gamer/System stories.
It's also balanced so that the MC is powerful, but not too powerful. He can kill people way above his weight class, but it's not effortless and requires a lot of planning, precision, and luck. Else, they'd have no problem of absolutely thrashing our MC.
(He could barely beat a Genin in a straight up fight for half of the story, even though he's lethal to nearly everyone, including Jounin.)
    Overall, 10/10 story.

I wasn’t really sure what I was signing up for when I initially found a link to this on some random discord. But this genuinely blew my expectations out of the water when I got in the rhythm and chaos that Sora found himself in. Genuinely a funny but unique take on a Gamer x Naruto fic.

The characters were alive and changing, the humor was corny but wholesome, and the story was just the right amount of tension and fun
One of the best stories about Naruto world that I've read, thank you author!
The system was kinda weird, but op enough to not be a totaly useless word boat

Great story. The author did a very good job for the power increases of the MC.
I also love the dialogues, the MC is very funny. Often in these types of stories, the MC's banter ends up rather cringe but it wasn't at all the case here.
I hope we get a part 2 someday because part 1 was a blast and I really enjoyed it.

A good Naruto gamer OC-SI that isn't brokenly overpowered. It has a very funny main character and I love the interactions. I also like his powerset.
Compared to the original I have a few things I liked and a few I dislike. I like how his system is more fleshed out. There is now a good reason for why he can't just make skills willy-nilly. The removal of the leveling system I have no opinion on other than it slowed down his growth which made the fic more enjoyable. I also like the inclusion of the dojutsu kid. A 3 man group is always better than 2 imo. I liked the slower pace. The original feels like a speed run while this one feels more patient and methodic.
What I kind of disliked was Sora outright being honest a lot with future knowledge compared to the original. I think that the original got the amount of information sharing right, while this one felt like he was a lot more forthcoming. He was also less of a troll (I liked troll-Sona), especially to Tsunade in the revised version. Either way, it was logical, so it's not like it ruined the story or anything super bad.
Overall, the rewrite is a "better" piece objectively, but the original still holds a place in my heart. While the original was a solo speedrunner being kind of random and having fun, the rewrite was a man with a goal and solid plans to get there. The main reason why I read this was for the humor, and both versions deliver wonderfully. 5 stars.

I'm quite surprised to like this. The more one reads fanfiction (and believe me, I do that daily) the less they tend to enjoy MC acting like a know it all, spouting random jokes, and being edgy bastard, with every character you know acting out of character by just accepting it and going along with it. Along with everything going right for the MC. It's the common troupe of somebody's first steps at writing fanfiction
There is almost none of that here. The MC still cracks jokes, but together with other characters acting like an actual people and calling him out on the BS, it makes for compelling character interactions. The ninja in this story acts like actual ninja and don't take everything at face value and constantly try to dig more info out of the MC. As the MC is not actually from any village, it thankfully skips the increasingly doubtful part of the story, where the usual MC's pull out techniques of of their ass and nobody questions it or uses their authority as military dictatorship to get the information.
The story itself makes sure to stick with the liminations of the system the MC has, and time is spent to working on overcoming those limitations. It also doesn't become one man's show with other characters quickly fading in the background as MC single handedly fight everything on his own. The team he collects, remains relevant and the power structure is clear.
We also see MC change as time moves on. Going from scared of little bit of pain, to overcoming said limitation. That said, the overall change is little for the MC and most character growth comes from the side character Karenbana, whom I wholeheartedly aprove of, as you can only take so many Naruto fanfictions, that stick to the same characters.
The story is also well done, exploring less known aspects and places if Naruto universe. There is no real rush to get to Konoha, with it being more of a end destination while most of the journey happening in the world outside the leaf village. I take it as a big b
