Meat is honestly one of the best stories I’ve read on this entire website. And one of my favorite web serials ever
It takes the dark superhero web fiction genre and does it in an incredibly good way. The protag doesn’t automatically know what she needs to do. She’s actually written like a teenager. Which is an incredibly good when other stories have 16 year olds be hyper competent combat experts.
The plot points and characters have all been incredibly fun. I personally love how edgy and pathetic Faust is.
I’ve never had any issues with the grammar.
And finally it’s good to see a transgender story that isn’t pure wish fulfillment. She has things go bad in her life. She has toxic relationships. A lot of stories with trans protags are stories where things simply all go perfect. And it’s good to just see a main character who is angry about things. And wants to change them for the better.
The story also has so much left in it. I can’t wait to see where the authors takes us in all of the futures arcs for the story.
I always open my phone when I see a new chapter alert for meat. And I will continue to do so until the story ends.
