Description
Micah is a materials science major who, after a poor exam performance, gets hit by a truck in a tornado and sent to a fantasy world with swords and magic. But instead of a magic circle in a castle or a wide grassy plain, Micah finds himself on a piece of driftwood in the middle of the ocean!
Follow his adventure as he makes friends, discoveries, and - with the help of the System - continues his education to become a Materials Scientist.

- 1Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I like this story quite a bit. There's a decent bit of hard science, well written combat scenes, a coherant plot, and a stellar main character.
The premise is, as usual, the main character being Isekai'd into another world, one with LitRPG mechanics. However, it's done well, and is decently unique.
Fun read! - Etwas,EtwassRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I like the concept, and it turns out the characters are more interesting than I thought they would be when I first read the sinopses.
Until now nothing revolutionary but the worldbuilding is somehow unique. I will wait a bit longer to give a final verdict, but right now, I say it is worth picking up. - kelkel1133Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0The prose is fine, the story and plot's already in it's initial stages of development. There are no glaring mistakes save for a couple of misspelled words and a few numbers off on the blue boxes.
As expected of a degree holder on a physics program, the author knows how actual science works, albeit more on the theoretical magical side than the hard math portion.
There are also a few eyebrow raising moments, such as the thermodynamics between a fish and a human body, of which we really can't prove to be actually possible without detriments for the MC without so much math-crunching, but other than that the story's fine.
All in all a solid read, a 5/5 - wallybebe423Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Great introduction! Caught my attention and held it pretty well. I also liked how italics were used to emphasize certain parts; much like other fantasy novels I love. The intro is probably the most important part of a book for me since it sets the tone for the rest of the book and obviously, whether I'll continue to read it.
- ChengsueRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The book is definitely a slow start, but the story really start around ch 4-5. Once the action pick ups you get to see the writers flourish in his description and painting of his world to you. So far the MC is still learning about his class and I feel like he could just be a scientist with how his skills are utilized but I'll wait to see how exactly he'll grow into his class and what will be unique about him.
- GeneticfreakRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5The story was initially interesting but I really just can't read further. The character interactions are so weird and unnatural.
Someone literally attempts to murder the MC upon first meeting him because he's human and humans had killed and driven out their people.
That's fine but MC's reaction to this is basically to immediately go "ah can't really blame him" and just doesn't seem to care at all? The attempted murderer gets a light scolding as punishment? Wtf?
Even outside of this, character interactions and dialogue really don't seem to be the forte of this author which is fine, that's very common and it's a very difficult skill but it just completely pulls me out of the story.
The skills and system seem to be interesting and they're quite novel so if you can get past the character side there is likely a lot to like about this story.
The author seems pretty good at writing action scenes and is fairly good at being descriptive.
