- hardking5353Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I like the system mechanics, and the affinity and element system clearly has some thought behind it.
grammar was good
and I like the premise.

The text flows nicely and is easy to read. There is evident attention to detail in using the style to create a great atmosphere that enhances the book's overall readability.
Grammar: In terms of grammar, "Marsil the Mage" is quite good. I did not come across significant grammar errors or confusing sentence structures in the text. Sentences were well constructed.
Story: "Marsil the Mage" excels in many aspects. The story is intricate and filled with interesting characters. Character development and world-building are explored in depth.
Characters: "Marsil the Mage" stands out as a strong book in terms of character designs and personalities. I observed that both the main and side characters were intriguing and diverse. Each character has a unique backstory and purpose, which helps readers connect with them.
In conclusion, I rate "Marsil the Mage" as a 4 out of 5 for a book. I advise the author to read more fantasy books on the Royal Road; I believe it will make him learn more about storytelling. I say this because I saw some problems in the narrative session of the story. I believe the author needs to work on that. - GoldfearRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The characters are interesting, the premise is very original. About my only complaint (and it's a very minor one) is that the author could use a few more commas in the narration (some of the sentences get away from you while reading them).
Looking forward to the rest of the story. - PorcupinesterRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I would like to say and add on that the story is good and exciting.
From what I think it is better than most of the stories here.
Especially update speed is to good as author post daily chapters.
I can say that there are improvements can be made when it comes to narrative - SirBeratDemirciRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Grammar (5/5): This story boasts impeccable grammar. It's a smooth, error-free read that ensures you can fully immerse yourself in the narrative.
Characters (5/5): The characters in this web novel are a highlight. The main character, Alaric, undergoes a remarkable transformation, and the supporting cast is equally compelling. Their journeys will keep you hooked.
Especially "Marsil" the main character have different kind of motives and different set of behavior compared to most characters in the other story. It is a fresh breat of air for me as it main character just does not want any trouble but troubles find himself in a believable way.

Its there are some grammar mistakes here and there but still good, well-developed characters, and captivating plot make it stand out in the genre. If you seek an engrossing story with depth, you've found it here.. - MirayleaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Love the world building and characters!
he story concept is pretty unique with great worldbuilding, the character growth is very satisfying to see, there are very few to now errors,
This is starting out as a great slice of life romp with delightfully written characters that feel more like old friends than a written story. - KrizantemaRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5In the future, I would like to write an advanced review on this novel.
But for now, I am still waiting for more chapters to read and understand everything with a better sense.
It is clearly can be understood that author is trying to create a new world and have some experience on these matters.
It would be awesome if it is not dropped in the long run.
Thank you. - WhoknowswhoRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Characters
The characters in the story are real. They are not just fictional characters but have their own motives, reasoning, and sense. They do not just attack others for fun or for the sake of creating action, or they do not take measures and create enmity against the protagonist for the sake of drama.
Worldbuilding
It is robust, and the author knows what he is doing with the world itself. From what I can see, the world itself connects with the story and is being fleshed out more and more as more chapters come out.
Story
What I loved most was the way the story kept me hooked. There are surprises that pop up, making you want to keep reading. You'll find magic, mystery, and even some twists that you won't see coming.
Style
The writing style is easy to follow, and it makes the story flow smoothly. Albeit, there are still some clunky word use, and the fact that there are some grammar mistakes here and there breaks some impressions of the story itself. It is still good, and it does not affect it very much.
Grammar
I shared my thoughts about grammar, but if I were to make a criticism of the author itself and make him add something to the story, that would be a proofreader who is a native English speaker. - simplemills_flyingcarsRoyal Road★★★ 3.0Not my cup of tea. The first couple chapters are so short you can read them in 2 minutes. The later chapters are better I read the most recent because it had recently showed up in the latest update. Story itself seemed like it had a couple interesting ideas
- AhmedLRoyal Road★★★ 3.0TLDR The story has big flaws but I think the author has some passion about this work, so give it a try?
The reviews that are currently on this story are oddly overly positive. The story has a stuttering flow to it, and bolding of all spoken lines is a little off-putting. Characters talk aloud to themselves a surprising amount. There are details that are missing that give a little whiplash. I'm not saying that stories need foreshadowing, but this story could do with less POVs and more foreshadowing. But it could also use a rewrite in the third person. I think this might be the author's first work, and the later chapters I assume is great, but I just can't go on.
Spoilers- Why isn't Marsil more upset, he's been falsely imprisoned? It could be said that being upset is an assumed state, but no hints of it? Not even a thought of either seeking revenge or giving up revenge?
