Marbelous is a marvelous (pfft, sorry) take at a fairly unique set-up.  Our protagonist is a young-teens female mage off to study at a magic academy.  On her way there by caravan, he accidentally enters a pocket dimension, losing a hand in the process.  While she scrambles to single-handedly survive in a hostile environment, pushing her magic beyond its limits, word reaches her father (an accomplished adventurer in his own right) of the incident who gathers his best buddy to locate the pocket dimension and rescue his daughter.
Story: The story at base is one of a young female mage caught in a survival situation adapting and strengthening her magic in a bid to survive (with a small subplot of outside forces trying to rescue her).  The world is close to (but not quite) a standard western fantasy, which the author does an excellent drop of dripping the right amount of exposition to us at the right pace. The pocket dimension as survival situation is a nice change of pace.  And we'll never have too many female mages on Royal Road.  And the loss of a hand does a good job of providing further obstacles to her, and forcing her to adapt.
The author mentions in the synopsis about "how will this experience change her life moving forward?" which seems to set up a sequel.
My general impression is that this story serves overall as a prologue/power-up sequence for the protagonist to enter the magic academy as a very powerful young mage. Based on general pacing, I think if she escapes by chapter 20 or 25, have a chapter or two to wrap up, and then start a new fiction for the next page in her life (which may or may not include a time skip). Just some brainstorming.
In any event, even if there is no sequel, I hope the author does decide to finish this story, which (as noted) can probably be done in relatively few chapters.
Style:  Not much to say.  The story flows together well. It's easy to follow without being condescending.  The pacing is very good.  Overall, it's well-balanced.
