Malcontent Magic

Mal is a figure of myth and legend - he just doesn't know it yet.

Right now, he is just a teenager trying to figure out his way in the world. Unfortunately for him, the world is still reeling from the revelation that magic exists, along with all the strange things that come with it. To make matters worse, Mal is one of those things. He is half Eten, part of the group of people who brought magic to the forefront of the world, devastating part of it in the process. Finding his place in these turbulent times is going to be harder than it should be.

But Mal will push through it all. He wants to study magic. He wants to be great. He just hopes he doesn't make too many mistakes along the way.

This will be a story that takes its time. Chapters are long and will come out only once or twice per week at most. Things will take time to develop, instant gratification and fast resolutions aren't going to be a feature here.

Regarding the tags: Because the story will take it's time to develop, not all the tags will be present right away. Others will become more prevalent as the story continues. LitRPG elements, for instance, will be there from fairly early on, but won't have a significant impact on the story until later.

Finally, Mal is a teenager. He isn't always right, and he isn't always in the right. He's going to make mistakes and poor decisions just like anyone else. Try not to hate him for it.
