Magical Marvel (HP X MCU)

Description
[A SI Harry Potter and Marvel (MCU) Xover Fanfiction]---------------------------------------------------------------A sick 16 year old MC dies at the same time, emerald eyes open up confused. Shouldn't I be dead? Why the hell am I so tiny? What's her name? What are these voices in my head?Follow the young telepath as they make way in a world of gods and magic. Will they make their mark in this scary world or did they already do so. F*ck, time travel is really confusing.----------------------------------------------------------------
I know that the beginning is not that good, tbh. It gets better with time, believe it.
I don't own pretty much anything in this Fanfic.
I took a lot of inspiration from the fic "A Long Journey Home" and used the prologue from "Rise of Arcane" to get things started.

- MitchBeachRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I really like it!
Its a fun mix of magic and marvel. I really like the way the super marvel characters are beeing hazed by the MC a bit 0:)
SPOILER:
I really like the mix of "modern day" story and the time loop part. I hope I made it to 50 words. - VanBlightRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Ahh, I love this. There are some many twist and turn and omg I love your imagination. Honestly speaking, you could have really milked the story, I really wish you. I wish you could have had more like maybe 6 chapter on Atlatis and her father, also I wish you could have had a few chapter of developing her relationship with her daughters. Please don't rush the story, you have so many fantastic ideas, please develop them more
- SienikiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Look I saw the HP x MCU tag and I was like wtf, the author must be on something. Then I read it, all 378 chapters almost nonstop for 3 days to the point that I questioned my own sanity.
The story is set in an alternate universe of Harry Potter and the canon-MCU and explores the major historical points mentioned in canon along with the evolution of gods and entities and magic and sorcery and mutants and somehow, somehow it all fits… Then we finally move into the canon timeline and get experience an OP MC (that’s actually intelligent Ik wow that never happens) mess with the canon characters whilst saving the world again and again and again. It’s just fun in its entirety that I couldn’t put it down but I think what I enjoyed most of all is the psychological effects of immortality and loss of free-will that’s explored, it’s as intriguing as it is depressing. I laughed, I cryed, I slammed my phone down a couple times and 100% lost sleep to the point I was barely functional but damn was it fun. Author, u have a beautiful, beautiful brain. - Molnar AndrasRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0About me: I usualy avoid fanfic's and I dislike the Harry Potter books/films/... so the fact that I read this should give you an idea about the potential of the novel. I'm also not a fan of time or pov shifts.
Regardles of personal preferences hovever I will try to give it a fair and hopefully helpfull review.
STYLE:
The author freely uses non-linear lines be it a POV or timeline. This writing style while gives more freedom in aspects such as world and dept building often has demerits such as a smaller reader pool or a temporary feeling of loss of focus regarding the main plot.
Credits given where its due: the author suceeded in makeing multiple timelines work and uses them in a complimentary way to make the caracters more in dept while explaining places/happening in the story.
Criticism: while it's understandable that the author tried to avoid the biggest flaw of the style (stagnation/nonprogression) when he/she choose to cut the past timeline storys short, they were cut too short and dou to this some bonds and feelings between people are less pronounced then they could be. But this could be intended and we could see more of their shared pasts in the future duo to interaction in the primary timeline.
Timeline:
The first line is the present where most of the secondary POV's are focused. This line is where the main story advances and we see what people remember of the past.
The second line is the past where most of the main characters development takes place. Here's where we learn about the history of places/artifacts/people and we read what truly happened instead of the legends heard in the primary line. This is where the author explains the relationships between characters/places.
The secondary timeline's apparence will slowly disappears with time as we learn more about the world but it will likely turn up every now and then to give more context to happening in the primary timeline.
POV shifts:
I unfortunatelly can't realy say much about them becouse of my inexperi - TarisRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Consider this personal opinion, your mileage may vary, but - I loved this story. It was exceptionally well written, threading together mythology and history, as well as lore of both HP universe and Marvel, blending them together into an inspiring and cohesive narrative. I really wish to acknowledge the amount of research and effort it took the author to build a crossover universe that feels consistent and rich.
The narrative style itself was engaging; rather than choosing a limiting 1st person view or impersonal 3rd person one, the author cleverly switches between the two when appropriate, granting the reader insight into different characters and allowing them to follow scenes that would not be possible in strict 1st person.
This is also how the characters feel alive, how they can be given depth and agenda of their own. It was incredibly refreshing to have characters with their own goals and thoughts rather than two-dimensional cardboard figurines whose only purpose is to be in awe of the main character. Even when these characters acted against the protagonist's interests, their actions made sense and were understandable on both logical and emotional level, making all these actions relatable and the impact of the inevitable confrontation that much more emotionally charged.
Minor mistakes happened during the first- and third-person switching, occasionally the narrative slipped back into "I did, I saw, I thought" rather than "Character X did.." - but those are very minor flaws that barely leave a tiny blemish on an otherwise wonderful story.
Overall, the quality of writing, the command of language, the knowledge of mythology required to build this narrative.. all I can say is, I was thoroughly impressed, engaged, and loved every moment of reading this. My only regret was that it wasn't longer.. But that is a good thing. The story wrapped up, and it's better to leave the reader wanting for more than to drag it out to infinity and back.
With that, I would wholeheartedly - Ebil-OneRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I'll be honest at the beginning it's disjointed, however it does smooth out and frankly does explain most of it later on. Now if you're fed up of a Mary-sue novel, or the op get even more op then look elsewhere. This novel tackles a unique universe blend that actually gets an explanation, unlike most other blend novels and even then its something else I.E: DC feat marvel.
This may be a 'what if?' Series but unlike most it does try to keep key points of history intact, even if it's only mythical history. That said I came into this without expectations as I usually avoid fictions using both universes, so I am happy to say I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Even though I have an inkling where it will end up (anyone who doesn't by this point is an idiot) I look forward to the journey to that point.
So all that said what are you still doing here? Go read and see for yourself! - HubhubhubschraubereinsatzRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0First story with time travel that does not make my head hurt. Just awsome.
While there are some errors in the later chapters you feel for our poor Morrigan all the way. The characters are awsome if a little lacking in distinctiveness on the motivation.
Go and kick their buts of avatar of death. - Indranath MaitiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Of all the hp fanfics with a female mc this one has been my best read.
I know not everyone might agree with me and I agree, there are some moments like when she almost loses against Merlin or even plays along with Dumbledores game are the worst moments of this fic. But the rest? Even if it has villified like every character of the story it's a great story if you think about the canon Harry Potter story and this fic as entirely different settings all together.
Heck she also visits a world almost similar to canon where Dumbledore isn't much of a villain. He just has some issues.
I have seen three different types of female mc in Harry Potter fics.
1. Mc is Harry Potters twin and her entire existence is to help Harry and fall in love with some random guy like malfoy or fred.
2. Mc goes in another world and bends over backwards for the natives and again falls in love with a random weirdo like rhaegar Targaryen from asoif
3. There is almost no fic where a female lead is as powerful as some of the op male harrys. I know you will say she can't become as powerful as Dumbledore or voldemort in just a couple of years but I am not talking about female Harry only, I am talking about any female mc who is maybe born in the 70s or something.
Even the canon is kind of sexist if you think about it. Except for the founders there is almost no female magical titans.
So to conclude it was very satisfying to see a female hp mc who has a backbone as well as the power to back it up. - Candy22Royal Road★★★★ 4.0WIth a few more info dumps than Im enjoying of; The MC leads an interesting life with unexpected twists and turns that has wonderfully kept me on the edge of my seat.
With fine attention to detail from the cannons, Magical Marvel has spun things into quite a unique read.
Could anything have been done better? The early chapters are a bit shakey and a few common fanfic tropes, but whats a story without a few tropes; if you stick through them, it all works out. - CartyRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Enjoyable story so far but the author is trying to squeeze too many refences in together at the same time. Some parts are well balanced in the amount of things in there but others feel like things are just all thrown in there and at you too fast. The Writing and balance is getting better as the story progresses. My favorite arc so far is from chapter 147 to 179. I think the idea over all is fun.
