Description

After Earth's magical girls accidentally destroy the entire planet, they decide to fix their mistake with the power of love, friendship, and overwhelming firepower.

This doesn't go as planned.

This story contains:- Ridiculously overpowered main characters- A multi-isekai plot- Cute girls terrorizing multi-dimensional godlike beings- Magical girls being as flowery as usual- Over the top combat- A protagonist who is occasionally badass, but usually on accident

A continuation of the Magical Girl X series! Read Magical Girl Crystal Genocide first! (Well, you don't need to, this one should be a standalone, but there's some references!)

Another excellent book in the series. I really like this take on magical girls. The powers and name are fantastic.  Tracking them down one at a time while working your way through an entire world build around broken versions of their powers will carry the entire series. Having both Chrystal Genocide and Rending Nightmare as main characters made this book stronger than the first one.  I'm looking forward to the next one with the addition of a third permanent magical girl in the story.

A great sequel to Magical Girl Crystal Genocide.  Reading it first is not entirely needed, but it would really give background to the characters and humor.
Much has been written in the Magical Girls genre. This story takes the idea that dropping Demi-God powers onto immature girls can lead to unforeseen, sometimes bad results. Here we have the second book after the Magical Girl group destroys the Earth. They then double-down to try to fix their mistake and are forcibly separated to different worlds.
We begin when the two characters, Crystal Genocide and Rending Nightmare, were reunited in the last book then dropped into this Alt Earth to find their third friend who has Time powers. That their names have Genocide and Nightmare in them should give you the proper impression that these aren’t the fluffy-bunny kids version of Magical Girls. Things sometimes are a bit dark.
For style, this is a well thought out Alt Earth that follows it’s own rules. The two MCs do a credible job working with the world. Side characters have their own roles.
Grammar is Excellent. I’ve found no no major or even minor issues.
The Characters are well crafted. Although the MCs are Over Powered, the setting reduces their ability to bulldoze through everything. When they do let loose, it’s well portrayed. Side characters are well done with their own voice with some having a important roles.
Story: This is a mash up of the Magical Girls and Isekai genres, and is overall a fun read. Recommended!

I have been waiting for the continuation of this story for a long time, and the first chapter is as weird and wacky as we left off. The perspective of the book has shifted from Crystal to Alice, which should give the book an entirely different tone from the first.
If you liked the first, you'll like this one (probably), and if you haven't read that then you'll like this anyways (go read it)

The sequel we have all been waiting for. The shenanigans of the magical girls continue, now with two instead of one. If you liked Crystal Genocide, you will definitely love it. If you're new, give it a try if you like magical girls, insanely overpowered protagonists. You won't regret it.

Why haven’t I been reading this before? This is one of the best books I’ve ever read! The plot’s good, the style is good, it has Crystal. The world building is fantastic, and the characters are amazing. I’ve never even seen a mistake on this book. I’m looking forward to reading this book more.
    P.S This book has Crystal!
P.P.S To have a better experience read this book after you read Magical Girl Crystal Genocide.

Overall a fun read. Like the previous story, it's mostly a tour of another world centered around a overpowered duo. The world feels like there's a little more substance than the prequel. Some side characters feel unexplored, but for a chill story with little stakes, this is probably for the best. Ending seems more like a setup for the sequel than an actual ending.
7/10 - Glad I read it, but would not recommend

Magical Girl Crystal Genocide was a fun romp.  The comedic setup of an OP hero who knows she's not very bright and relies on other people to give her ideas gave the comedy a bunch of great setups and payoffs.  The challenge wasn't the combats (which she won easily) but getting her pointed in the right direction with minimal collateral.
In contrast, Magical Girl Rending Nightmare is intelligent and good at planning.  Which means there's little tension in the planning (it's in good hands) or the combat (either of them could easily handle it).  So... there's no tension.
That would be excusable of course if she was funny.  Sadly Rending Nightmare is NOT.  She's broody and introspective, ruining the bright humor of the series. Were she a bit more over the top emo or had some amusing character flaws maybe it could have been salvaged, but instead she's just "broadly competent" with a few understandable hangups and blind spots, which isn't very funny at all.
Just terrible execution, my advice is go reread Crystal Genocide (it's still spectacular!).
