I just finished reading this story and I have to say that I loved it. Crystals seeming innocence combined with her power and tendancey for destrucing were extremly amusing to read. Veronica and the other charaters were also very enjoyable to read about. I hope to continue reading more of this fantastic story and Crytstals adventures.

RavensDagger is an imaginative writer who comes up with some great story lines. In this story we have a magical girl who has been idekai'd to another world where the magical system is quite different from what she's used to.
Crystal is a bit ditzy and definitely overpowered. Okay, make that a LOT ditzy. But she's doing her best to figure things out and find a way to fit in. I'm really looking forward to reading more of this series!

To be completely honest, I normally avoid the trope of OP protagonists like the plague. Power fantasy without troubles have never been fun, but this one is actually great.
Here our prtoagonists problems are not about power, she has plenty of that. Its about well... most everything else. She may not be the brightest bulb around, but she is aware of this and does the best she can, and that is all we can ask of her.
So, if you are looking for something were the problems come mostly from things other than the fights, while still getting amazing action scenes, this one might be for you! (Also, its a RavensDagger story, so quality comes guaranteed)

intentionally isekai-ing themselves after causing the apocalypse, a group of 12 magical girls is split up. the protagonist, crystal genocide, is very happy go lucky, with a slight lacking in the common sense department. fortunately for her, she's already quite overpowered, and the world she finds herself in is... not. anyway, the adventures she gets up to are wacky and mostly wholesome, character interactions are fairly good thus far. generally awesome read, can't wait for more. easy follow.

A fun read with an amusing protagonist and hints of worldbuilding to collect along the way that help towards understanding what appears to be a very serious world.
The tone is upbeat and reading it made me smile, but it's not just slace of life.  While the protagonist is unlikely to face defeat in a straight fight, that isn't the source fo the conflict in the story, and so isn't really an issue.  The chapters so far have been an interesting exploration of a unique world, and not just fluff.

This story is a fun read. Crystal is a girl who doesn't take life too seriously. It'll all work out as long as she doesn't think about it too hard. That's left to her new friend Veronica, who doesn't seem terribly thrilled with the unasked for responsibilities. But don't worry Veronica, it's just like adopting a puppy, except, you know... instead of chewing up your slippers, she might accidentally-on-purpose knock down a building.

A somewhat unique twist on magical girls. They just casually "oopsied" away a world, like they're chaotic good. There's a larger plot in the background, not some shadowy evil they don't know about (thank god, that gold old for me a long time ago), but:
there's worlds being... well... harmed? by their powers used for evil. Like the world Crystal Genocide is on seems to have its daemons come from Rending Nightmare's powers.
At its heart it is still a curbstomp, but I'm waiting to see fresher ways to write it even though I still enjoy the usual tropes.

Key point, her name is Crystal Genocide
The story is short & sweet, not overstaying its welcome, and has a clean end
Join ditzy magical girl Crystal who's iseaked herself into fantasy land trying to figure things out and find her friends.
Writing is fun, fights are spectacles, and the rest of the core cast is given enough personality. Some extra exposition would be nice for a longer story, but this isn't one

Thus is a fun spin on the magical girl apocalypse genre. Crystal is fun to read, even though (or perhaps because) she's terrifying, and from what I've seen of the other origin stories I look forward to getting to know the other girls better, too. The way the author handles Crystal's casual treatment of overwhelming destructive power, especially in contrast to Alice/ Rending Nightmare's early days.
Additionally, the central "ordinary" people, like Veronica and Tobias, feel well- fleshed out and the dimensional. Veronica's growing friendship with Crystal, in particular,  feels for subtle and realistic to me. This extends to the side stories as well; Marcia, from Alice's origin story, was a fascinating character, and I'm low- key hoping we'll see more of her,  though it doesn't seem likely.
I also like the idea of the story taking place after they screwed everything up. Basically, the story manages to feel original, even while playing with so many of the existing tropes and subversions of the magical girl genre.
The only complaint I had, if you can call it that, was the tendency, especially early on, to switch pov's without warning. That was intentional, though, and seemed to be an experiment in the author's part. It didn't detect from the readability in a author's way, though,  but it did sing a star off of style for me.
Additionally, there were no major grammatical errors I noticed.
Overall, I loved it, and I'm looking forward to volume 2, along with everything else this author's working on.

As hilarious as anything else Raven's Dagger has ever written, Magical Girl Crystal Genocide combines the utter bleakness of an dark deathworld with the ditzy cheerfullness of a friendly but not too bright girl who could probably qualify as a piece of intercontinental artillery.
It's enormous fun, and terribly clever besides.  Well worth a read if you're looking for a laugh.
