Magic With Downsides

Magic exists. It's not as glamorous or as interesting as you think it is though. People just call it magic because they don't understand it. Maybe it's not even magic in the first place, who knows? Maybe it's just some kind of really advanced biology or science or something. Or it could just be literally magic. Both sounds equally bad.
