- RichFRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I am enjoying Rexxy's story a lot. It immediately engages the reader with action and a main character (MC) who may not be quite right in the head. Its fantasy world of Rosmorre is intriguing and described with fair detail. Events flow fairly naturally, though sometimes in unexpected directions. Humor had been used several times to balance out otherwise intense scenes.
Style - When attributes are listed, they explain a lot less than I would like. So far most values have been 0. On first seeing a list like that, I assumed the being was heavily injured. With the second list, I realized these must be values above or below their baseline. The problem is, as of the end of chapter 6 I don't know what the baseline(s) are. Outside of that, I feel that the author sometimes shows inexperience in having all the pieces of the narrative fit cohesively together. For a new author, I expect this is normal.
Story - It is an interesting tale involving an isekai'd, dangerous MC who is oddly at ease in his new fantasy world. By chapter 6 he has joined up with an adventuring party called "Mad Dogs", hence the story's title. I'm just gaining familiarity with the other party members, but I can guess the general scope the story might encompass now.
Grammar - English is not Rexxy's native language, and it shows. Generally the words and thought flow are quite clear. However the occasional missing article or awkward wording distracts from readability.
Character - The MC is somewhat fleshed out as of this point. He does not respond to events in a normal way, but that is clearly the author's intent. I can't call him likeable yet, but he is keeping my interest. Other characters in the party are still shadows with one or two quirks, but that is to be expected so soon after their introduction. There is a lot more to learn about them, and I expect Rexxy will do so as the story evolves.
