Description

The grammar is flawless
I like the style - it flows naturally
This is not a crack fic. The tone is mostly casual, but there are serious moments and scenes. Nothing traumatized me yet. The "Graphic Violence" tag is earned though.
The characters feel human - emotions and characteristics are explored, but not in a way you would find obnoxious
In my opinion this should be at the top of "rising stars".

I am not the biggest fan of PJO or Worm, but I have to say I loved the first 20ish chapters. It had amazing characterization when it came to a Percy who really is struggling to find out what the hell to do in the confusing deathworld that is Worm with Annabelle dead. This of course rapidly falls down the drain past chapter 21 and all the time with other characters, the Dallons in particular just feel like a caricature of what a happy family is supposed to be to me rather than real people.
Then Percy meets the Dallon family, they really don't act the same as the book and aren't a toxic mess but whatever, who really cares how lore accurate a fanfic is (even if it confuses me that the author just ignored the fact Manpower totally cheated on his wife and their marriage is not "perfect"). That is until Crystal practically launches herself onto Percy and silently fights with Victoria over who gets to fuck him (this, fo course, happens in the middle of a family dinner he was invited to), with her hand on his thigh. These actions are of course following up a few blushes and... thats it. As far as I can tell there is no reason for these two characters to really like each other save looks, they haven't known each other for more than a few days and there was no real flirting, maybe I just missed it but he most I noticed was her picking him up and flying him in a princess carry and him not liking it, but we were told that is because he is a bit afraid of heights/flying after his experiences with Zeus.
And in case it wasn't clear this whole time Percy has been an emotionally and mentally unstable teen from all he has gone though, all the people he has lost and the realization he will likely never see his family again and is trapped in a strange world. They did not even known him for a week before they brought into their house and let him into their family only team.
