  Sorry if it seems to low, but I didn't even get to the halfway point. A black loving survival expert, who doesn't think of anything strange on the situation, doesn't care about pain or disconfort, but still is bothered enough to not think about anything else, and yet still thinks about measurements while scrambling singlemindedly for shelter... I do admit having all measures in murican isn't nice, but plenty stories use it, we learn to accept that we must translate. The way it's displayed here, though, it's almost as if you can't decide if the character is seeing, or if you are describing, mixing the both into something that doesn't seem human. Sorry again, but can't like it.
