- TanhaleviRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I read only the first chapter, the only one published, and ... wow.
Writing decently is easy, but writing well is another story.
I'm not even speaking about characters or story, this story is worth 5 stars if only for the way the author writes.
I'm actually positively impressed. - Midnight phantom GODRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I'm excited to spill the tea on this novel that's got me all hyped up: "Lord of the Void." Trust me, this book is not revolutionary but so captivating that I had to switch from my smartphone to my desktop just to write this review. It's totally worth it, believe me!
Now, let's dive into the concept behind "Lord of the Void." It's pretty darn cool, even though it's not completely original. We've got this mind-blowing void, right? It's like this super powerful singularity that devours everything in its path, from entire realities to badass beings. But here's the mind-boggling part: even after consuming it all, the void remains devoid of any consciousness. It's like this eternal, instinctual force that just exists without any deeper understanding. The author could've explored this aspect further, but it still adds an intriguing layer to the story.
Moving on to our MC, this dude has some seriously crazy powers that make him invisible to the void. But here's the kicker: we never really find out where these powers come from. It's like they're this enigmatic gift bestowed upon him. Maybe he's detached from his past life or fate. 1 As the story progresses, he starts gaining powers similar to the void, ultimately devouring the void itself but it's a bit fuzzy and could use more clarity.
The book is composed of relatively short chapters and with too many time skips I would say, which isn't a bad thing. It keeps the pace snappy and the story engaging. However, adding more detailed descriptions of the surroundings would have enhanced the overall experience. Imagine being transported right into the heart of the action with vivid imagery and immersive landscapes. It would've truly elevated the reader's immersion in the story. I would like the chapters to have more words and depth.
Now, let's talk about that moment when our MC purifies his body. It got me thinking: if he's eliminating impurities, shouldn't he lose some mass too? It could have been mind-blowing if he replenished hi
