This the best lotm fanfiction I have ever read . Kelin X Evernight is just the cherry on top . The way the kelin interacts with the Ancient gods and the way 2nd epoch is depicted is absolutely perfect . I can't wait for the story to explore 3rd and 4th epoch . If You've finished book 1 of Lotm and is searching for a fanfiction then this novel is for you . At this point all I need is more chapters .

It's like lotm, but if it was in a different time period. I've been reading this fanfiction for a while now on ao3 and with the author now sharing it on Royal Road I just have to show my support.
Style: In terms of style, it's great if you like reading Lord of the Mysteries. It emulates the style to near perfection. The majority of people would find this a very enjoyable style, full of vivid description and personality without feeling bloated or distracted from the story.
Story: Peak bro, peak. Brilliant pacing with lots of fun slice of life action involved that, at the same time, still has plenty of fun action and story progression mixed in.
Grammar: The only section in which I would take away points. It's never anything major, only a few minor mistakes, but they are still there. Occasionally you may also find things like calling a giant 3 feet tall instead of meters, but it's such a small issue that I struggle to even take away half a star. Some other times you may find an uncapitalized letter where there should be one or a misplaced comma, but it shouldn't hinder the reading experience much.
Characters: It's like lord of the mysteries if it was in the past. Klein, really the only character from the original series we've seen thus far, is absolutely perfect. The way he is written, his reactions, his choices, all of it is quintessentially Klein Moretti. The rest of the characters are also great. As a result of them not being in the main story much, the author Ikiru is effectively able to make characters personality up from scratch and he does a brilliant job of it. They're all wonderfully well written and feel like Cuttlefish, the author of Lord of the Mysteries and Circle of Inevitability, could have written it himself.
Overall: It's definitely worth a read if you are an LOTM fan. However, a fair warning, it does contain some spoilers for the sequel series, Circle of Inevitability or COI. Also, if you haven't read LOTM, nothing will be explained in this series. Th

That is a much more... enjoyable continuation to the Lord of Mysteries than the reral Circle of Inevitability. Obviously it doesn't expand the worldbuilding quite as much (most of the elements introduced in CIrcle of Inevitability feel so much out of the left field that it IT was a fanfiction I would consider it to be a betrayal of LOTM).
That is not to say that Slug of time doesn't expand the world! The history of LOTM feels so much more lived in when seen from this perspective and new elements are introduced in natural and seemless ways, and even the more jarring elements like the Cloaks feel like an appropriate and natural inclusion into this world. If Cuddlefishwas the one to write this we would definitelly go of the rocker by now :D.
It is Nice. Klein didn't hit the brakes, he was forcefully slammed into the grandest breeaks of the world, that span across time and space. Just before his greatest plunge in the LOTM he was stopped and finally allowed to freathe fully with his lungs. With all the knowledge he was searching for, enough power to be safe, and all the enemies on his feet removed, he cna finally start accepting his place in the world, even if he was once again seperated from everyone he loved.
