Description

A slow-burn cyberpunk mystery with heart, horror, and revolution.Chapters posted weekly. Full novel available now on Amazon.

For Harlow, a young widower who’s turned his back on the tech life, working gigs at a retirement home and his friend’s VR arcade are just ways to pass time while he waits for life to finish with him. The world’s a mess—corrupt, overconnected, crumbling—but at least Neuroreality offers people an escape from it all. Harlow doesn’t bother anymore. Not with hope, not with connection.

But when his neighbor’s door swings open on its own, and he finds Rose unresponsive in her tricked-out neuro-dentistry chair, everything changes. Her guttural scream as she wakes from a hack-induced coma marks the beginning of something much bigger—and drags Harlow back into a world he tried to leave behind.

Together, Harlow and Rose begin hunting the source of the attack. What they uncover goes deeper than they ever imagined: two vast conspiracies locked in conflict—one led by a mysterious entity that claims it’s saving humanity, and the other by a megacorporation steering society for its own ends. And somehow, both of them are personal.

To overthrow the system—and maybe find a new kind of family—Harlow will need to plug back in, face what he lost, and become someone he thought he’d buried long ago.
