Description

Amongst a gray and bleak world lies lush, green farmland called Community. Here, small bands of people cultivate what they can in the hope of survival. But death, like an encroaching tide, is ever present. Danger takes many forms, among them, dangerous nomads and sentient plant life. Rescued by this colony is nineteen-year-old Alex Dash, who is besieged by strange dreams and visions. When he meets Eva Monroe, he finds her mysterious, but also familiar somehow. When Alex sees strange lights in the fields, he begins asking questions that no one seems willing to answer. Together, he and Eva discover a secret. A secret that no one in Community saw coming...or did they?

Ok, I have to say that this is by far one of my favorite sci-fi books ever! I read the entire story back when it was on Wattpad, (only the first few chapters are still up over there since the book is now being released here on Royal Road) and now that it is being re-posted here, I can already see some interesting changes from the other version, so I am so excited to be reading new stuff! The writing in this book is so detailed and not like the stories that have bad grammar and lazy writing. When reading this I actually get to the point that I start to picture everything that is happening like it is a movie inside of my head. Sometimes when scenes from this story pop into my mind every now and then, I think to myself, 'where did I see that? What movie is that clip from?' Eventually I come to realize that the scene I remember was not from a science fiction movie, but instead was a scene that I read from this book, that's how well I am able to see this! And the characters are written so well and I grew attached to many of them. If you love sci-fi books with some creepy horror and unexpected shocking twists than you will LOVE this book!
