Description
Mateo was your typical 21 year old college kid from Colorado, he had everything that he had ever wanted apart from a good financial status, in fact everything seemed normal from a persons perspective, he had a loving mother, great friends, a job and a place he could call 'home'. However, that all came crashing down when he gets brutally murdered by an unsuspecting individual of the night.
Follow Mateo on a crazy rollercoaster ride as he meets a God of sorts who bestows him a second chance in life across a different dimension on a planet known as "Greiss". This particular world is out of the norms of physical reality as he soon finds out that it is inhabited by strange mythical creatures such as dragons, vampires, werewolves, giants, angels and demons. A utopia of magic, swords and beauty filled with exciting adventures in undiscovered environments.
He soon finds himself under a different name: Apollo, reincarnated as a newborn baby in the hands of a rich and stable family who adores him for who he is as a person. His only ambition is to explore the vast expanse of Greiss, visiting various areas of interest filled with unexpected dangers and adventure. He also delves deep into the powers of the world including magic, swordsmanship and other crafts in order to gain the required power to protect himself from the dangers lurking in the dark.
Watch as he slowly develops into a cunning, logical mind as he begins to adapt to his new unforgiving environment.

- GILGAMESH01Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This novel is indeed interesting and underrated as the other guy said. I decided to read out of pure curiosity, I actually only chanced upon this novel from the New arrivals list and was surprised at the quality of its chapters.
The start is passable and unique, it is slow and very descriptive true to its slice of life tag. The author is consistently giving explanations around the world of “Greiss” and its kind of complex due to the details at hand one example is the fact that the story starts of in an area ruled by a count which is ruled by a king and is ruled by an emperor in a human continent containing 3 human empires in a world containing 7 continents. This just shows the expanse of the world the author is trying to build. However this might be a turn off for short span potatoes so beware of that.
The logic in the world seems to makes sense for now; it’s too early to make an accurate statement around this. It actually makes you think sometimes. There’s some philosophical stuff in there. Not one of those eastern fantasies where you turn your brain off so I have to compliment the author in regards to that.
The writing style as I said is descriptive so expect mid to long paragraphs so again not for the short spanned potatoes. This is probably due to the slice of life aspect of the story where you have to be descriptive.
The MC is pretty likeable, he actually is a human being with emotions rather than “Hey I’m strong, indestructible, have no feelings” type beat. There’s a sense of character progression, I feel like he is evolving as the story progresses.
The story itself is interesting, I feel like the author is laying down the foundations first before tackling straight into the plot which imo is a good thing.
In essence it’s a slow novel with a good MC, good world building, good story, good pacing and is thought provoking. - MiiraakRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I love the novel so far, I could safely say that I'm addicted to the story (author pls feed me more chapters).
It has a slow start but I liked how the protagonist reincarnated into Greiss. The events leading to it made proper sense and it wasn't cliché unlike most Japanese novels. I suggest sticking close to the novel as it does pick up pace, Chapter 8-11 were very good imo.
So far I have no problem with the protagonist, he reminds of the mc from Reverend Insanity in the way he's cunning and secretive. I especially like the character of Alfred, very creative.
The references in this novel is surprisingly good, it isn't over the top and you could easily miss them if you don't know what the author is referencing to, I may have missed some myself. There's even a Skyrim reference in there and if you're an avid fan like me, well I got immediately drawn to it.
The style is passable, I can see the author improving as he writes more chapters, I noticed an obvious transition from Chapter 7 onwards. It's really a minor problem of mine, it doesn't change my opinion of the novel.
The only major problem I have is the lack of MORE chapters, it's understandable since it's only beginning but damn. Anyways, it looks like the author is posting one chapter a day.
The story is in its early stages but its unique and I appreciate it, the author is very good at informing the readers of his vision in his work, highly respectable.
