What would happen if a DC fanboy was dropped into the DC universe with super powers? This story takes that simple premise and approaches answering it very deliberately. Self insert fanfics are a guilty pleasure of mine and this is one of the examples of how to make a really f***ing good one.
The main character isn't super OP, or even a little OP, his power and talent are believably underwhelming at the beginning and while there is potential for growth, it isn't the power fantasy that most fanfics tend to be. Instead the main draw (to me) comes from how he encounters and interacts with the supers of the DC universe.
Zeke, along with the rest of us, are privy to quite a few secrets, and that is a very huge part of the story. Zeke can't game the system like a master manipulator though. So it becomes very believable and engrossing, rather than making Zeke yet another Marty Stu.
It's still a fanfic, but it's everything you want in a fanfic.

The story is very well thought out and the author has an obvious love for the DC Universe. My only real complaint is the upload schedule or lack there of. I’m not saying I want the author to upload daily or anything (though that would make me really happy). What I mean is that I wish the chapter came out at regular intervals and preferably once a week. I understand that writing a good story can take time and I would hate for the quality to drop, but I think some regularity would be much appreciated.

This is only to point out the negative aspects i think you should work on. It means i love the rest of the story so forgive me if you find it offensive.
Ok, normally i would like the attention to detail that this novel seems to be all about but there is such a thing as overdoing it. The amount of attention to detail from the smallest twitch, to body posture, facial expression, tone of voice, the delay in the plot as Zeke throws in unneeded commentary is especially redundant. It's not that it's a long interuption from Zeke but the amount of times makes me roll my eyes whenever i come upon it in a chapter(which is a lot)and could filled up with Zeke doing something different or even productive instead.The amount of skill training is quite pathetic of him, i knew if i was there i'd train every second i wasn't on mission or socializing. At this point he's just a bother to the team and quite boring. Oh and faster upload schedule pls.
