- DreamlockeRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Within a short story fragment, we get 4 characters, action, a past, world building, and a bunch of unanswered questions. This is not an easy accomplishment to manage with so few words.
For further development, examine existing classics like those by O. Henry; the famous short story writer. The greatest areas likely to be of use are the ability to convey the setting with its own character, and the ability to translate the very short exposure we get on the characters into implications of their history and the experiences that shaped them.
Thanks for the entertainment. I'd certainly be willing to try a novel based on something like this, but there is always room to hone the craft of writing short fiction, too.
