- FanFicFanaticRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Like the title says, it’s really hard to pay attention to the MC while hearing about how awesome and OP his friend is. I keep thinking more about the friend and how he got to be so strong. Either tone the friend’s accomplishments down a little, or make the MC more OP than him. Your story is above average at best, nothing new going on here. Your standard MC has goal and talent for some super exclusive role or he has a destiny. The biggest problem you face now, is that you have forced your character into only one path for growth. He has to fight the dark forces and according to the prophecy, he’ll most likely win. So there’s the end of your story. He trains, beats the Demon Lord or whatever, prolly gets the girl, lives happily ever after. No choices whatsoever to go against his destiny or try to write his own story.
- jburge1Royal Road★★★ 2.5I like the idea of this story, but all the author does is harp on how just 'above average' the MC is, and it gets annoying. Especially considering his best friend is an elite student. All I kept thinking was, why isn't this story about him?
