In the world of Exose, those who have the capacity to use mana Awaken to it at the age of 13. If you happen to be a part of the 90% that don’t Awaken, well, there’s other ways to make something out of your life than being a mage.

Like being a thief.

Milo “Lightfoot” Anderra is one of the 90%, a sixteen year old street youth with a natural gift for sleight-of-hand and a discernible lack of morals. But when a theft goes wrong and he Awakens late to his power, his life will forever change as he is forced to join the Academy of the Mystic Arts, even if it’s the last thing he wants to do.

However, his skills as a thief may serve him better than he knows in an Academy where wealth and nobility reign supreme.

It may even keep him alive.
