Lamentations of The Dead Dreamer

Description
Binding herself to a monster was the only option Lyra had to save the woman she’d started to love. Worse, as part of the bargain it was ensured that Lyra’s magic, her soul songs, are cursed and sealed. To call on them without permission will inflict horrid pain that damages her soul.
Her new master is also the most gorgeous and terribly striking woman Lyra has ever laid eyes on, and this monster knows how to use this to break her new charge's will. Now Lyra must learn new ways to weave her magical songs into dark and agonizing melodies, else prove herself nothing more useful than a soul to be devoured.
What To Expect!
1. Reality is the dream of a dead goddess (NOT the MC) whose rotting mind can be felt at the edges of the worlds. Do not wake her up... please.
2. Matriarchal societies with tall and buff soul drinking Reavers, Beholder inspired mafia types, and song wielding shapeshifting Fae.
3. Sex is in this story, and serves to illustrate emotional growth, pain, and eventually the spark of hope for our heroine.
4. Trauma! D: Lyra is young and naïve whereas her mistress is cunning, cruel, and manipulative. Her affections are literally cultivated and used as tools to keep the young Fae bound to this monster's wills and whims.
Lamentations of the Dead Dreamer is an Erotic Horror story. It involves themes and topics of abuse (mental, physical, phycological, etc...), suicide ideation, sex, mild language things, slavery, and abandonment.Cover Art done by the wumberful RedsHeis (https://www.patreon.com/Redsheis)! - ALandFarAwayRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Lamentations of the Dead Dreamer is a beautifully written and very well realized story of magic and love and self-actualization, and is also a stunningly cruel tale of misery and dehumanization, of abuse and narcissistic manipulation and the desperate need to be wanted by other peope that will resonate with many wounded hearts like mine - a rare example of such a story that has been written with love hope instead of being thoughtless misery porn. It is, however, pretty graphic, and I did mean it when I said cruel. Now I happen to be in the Thundamoo camp of not wanting to be warned about terrible awful things happening in the story before they happen, and so I'm happy to inform you lovely peope that the chapters all have content warnings hidden behind spoiler tags. I'm also just as happy to tell that this story will kick your fucking teeth in, so read responsibly! XD
- DoctorPlagueRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Wow, ok, what can i say but very mean things to you Nevarii? Because i havent been this emotionally invested in the suffering of character in a while; truly a cruel balm for someone who doesn’t feel much this days. It may not be the most stylistically advanced story in the world, but it has one thing that many stories lack: soul. You can really see the suffering of the author as the events unfold, once again a terrifying wonder to read.
And…this part is important to me but unrelated to quality of the story itself: thank you for being one of the things that cracked my egg. - Lunar UserRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story has been an incredible journey thus far. If you're on the fence or just looking around give this a go immediately. I promise it'll be worth it. Stories when done right let the reader experience what the author wants them to experience. In this case the author has manged to become a professional marionettist of the readers mind and emotions. Reading this truly lets you experience the oftentimes cruel yet fascinating world from the protagonists mind.
- Steph LockeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is definitely a grim dark series and it's great that nevarii writes a second book that's more sunshine and might do you can balance this one out. Whilst they have different setups etc they're nice sort of a what if experiment - what if you first find someone bad or first find someone good?
