Description
Magic has vanished from the modern world, relegated to 'biased accounts' and fairy tales. It has no place in the world of heroes and science. Or so the modern people thought. They would be proven wrong, as one of the eldest lineages of the magical world is revived, to once more aim for dominion over the world of magic and man.
Update: 19.4.2021: Revised paragraph formatting to ease the reading experience. Feedback is appreciated!

- MarytheGorgonRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I honestly love what I've read so far (chapters one through eight) it's a great story. I appreciate an LGBTQ main character along with such a badass secondary character. I also like how it isn't her only characteristic c. She has hopes, dreams, and real emotions. She doesn't want to harm others but she's in danger.
The story we've been told so far is intriguing. I love the mix of dark fantasy with superheroes and villains. Especially with the whole twist with the main character's family history and how she's affected by it.
The style and grammar were pretty good, I found chapters not too wordy or busy. Also, I feel invested in the characters and whether or not they'll survive or become corrupted by future events. Sin is someone I want to know more about along with the heroes. I'll be reading more.
Currently, I would like to learn more about how heroes work in this world. Are they all based in schools or can they go vigilante style? And how we're the bad guys able to find out our MC's hidden history? See, this story is so good I'm making theories.

Would I recommend it?: yes, yes and yes - lkal92Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5Style:
A fascinating, dark story written by an author with quite a bit of potential. I love a good dark fantasy and the imagination here is stellar. The true nature of Sin, the appearance of Yggdrassil, etc. all with a somewhat horrific eldritch undertone that appeals to me personally. I've not read many stories with a straight up villainess lead instead of an antihero, so this is a fascinating perspective. Going against the heroes, dominance at any cost, demons and queens and miscellaneous others battling it out...I'm in.
Grammar:
I have to take a couple points off here because of some formatting and overall grammar issues, but credit to the author for breaking up the paragraphs into much more manageable chunks. I would just encourage her to continue understanding appropriate paragraph breaks and comma use. Often what should be ellipses for pauses in character dialogues are communicated with a comma. Also try to separate out paragraphs where people are speaking, if two people are talking they should be separated like so:
"Hi," said 1.
"Hi," said 2.
Opposed to the author's occasional use of something like:
"Hi," said 1. "Hi," said 2.
It's something that will come with time and paying attention to how other authors consciously break things up.
Story:
I will continue reading this story but she posts fast and I'm swamped recently. From what I have seen so far, our main character starts meek, before discovering she is the heiress to a sort of beast dynasty based on conquering everyone else, aided by an entourage of imaginative demons. She deeply despises the "heroes" revered in her culture, and her remaining family is not to be trusted. In the beginning she is kidnapped then saved by a horrific, murderous demon that declares its undying loyalty. What follows is an interesting look at the darker side of power that Maria pursues, from learning her first magic to encountering other queens and building up her beast menagerie.
Character:
At first I thought the MC Maria was a - HollexRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0A novel where you can see the development of our protagonist from a more or less normal schoolgirl into a real villain. Sincerely recommended reading if you like evil protagonists. Also mention that the history of the world is quite interesting as well as all the characters of the novel of which you can become attached.
But it also has flaws to highlight, the first is the romance that in my opinion is very forced and the second is that the protagonist for much of the book (about 30 chapters or so) feels like a secondary character where she is manipulated by Sin and romantic interest.
In essence, it's an interesting novel that with a little polishing can shine quite strong and honestly with a good ending. - WinnieSallowRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Story: The premise goes something like this...Maria, a young woman, newly graduated from high school, thinks her crush Elizabeth wants to spend some time with her. Instead, Maria gets stuffed into a car and nearly killed. A demon woman rescues her, and she goes by the name of Sin.
So far, the premise is a good one. Maria has to gather a group of beasts or servants to fulfill her goals. It kind of gives me Fushigi Yuugi vibes (yeah, I know that story is pretty old now, but the comparison is apt) Instead of pretty young men, Maria gathers attractive women, who also take the form of grotesque beasts. They are devoted servants and weapons, and certainly shower Maria in adoration.
The story also contains heroes, which are set up as the enemy. There isn't much to say about the heroes right now, except that Maria hates them. Rightly so? I'm not sure.
Style: The style is third person, with a glimpse into the heads of several characters. The language is descriptive, and that description especially shines in the introduction to the beasts.
Grammar: Other than the odd typo, the work flows pretty well. The only thing I would suggest is for the author to start a new paragraph each time a new character speaks. The writing is clear enough that it isn't too confusing, but it's standard protocol. Might as well do it. Speaking of characters...
Characters: Maria the main character certainly gives off a young and impressionable vibe. She's angry at the world and desires to be special. It's believable that she would fall prey to dark desires, and I think her story is going to be one of moral descent, rather than ascent. Meanwhile, her skillset should go in the opposite direction, as she slowly learns magic.
The creatures are characters in their own rights. Sin is a capable fighter and house keeper. She's bloodthirsty, twists the truth, but longs for closeness and affection from Maria. She's bad, but not evil.
The other beasts appear a bit deeper in the story and discussing them is proba - EnoveusRoyal Road★★★ 2.5There will be some spoilers!
I'll first talk about what's decent, namely the premise and the style. Having a world that used to have mages everywhere, then having those mages live in hiding, while a new strain of powers appeared, namely the heroes is incredibly interesting. Though from the synopsis I thought that only the power of the Queen remained, alas having the presence of mages in hiding isn't bad either. The style is fine so far as well.
That's pretty much what's good out of the way. Now let's talk about what's bad, namely the characters.
Maria, she's the main protagonist of this story and a shitty character at the same time. She is in a nutshell a pathetic girl, but that in and of itself isn't what makes her bad as a character. She is the type of person, that is an introvert and would believe anything at face value even from a demon, that happened to save her from death. Now you're wondering why are you complaining if this demon indeed saved her life. The answer is common sense demands anyone be wary of demons even if they saved you from death.
Unfortunately, Maria isn't a person with common sense, so whatever the demon says she takes it at face value. Apparently, the cause of this stupid behavior is because Maria is jealous of her classmates, who happened to have powers and will become heroes, while she doesn't have any similar powers, well until now ofc.
She hates these heroes and is jealous of their powers. She claims that they are arrogant, and act nobly when they don't give it their all to help people. I can't say anything against that per se, because it hasn't been expanded upon yet as of chapter 14. But she claims that she can do better and set a better example if she had these powers, so let's examine what she's done after acquiring her heritage. She kills all her enemies no matter who they are, do "heroes" do that I wonder? Is that setting a better example I wonder? She slaughtered her uncle and cousin without trying to listen to them, justifying it
