TLDR: Great demon evolution PoV junk food, with a more relaxed leveling system.
Overall: I enjoyed what is written so far and the road that Kneel is taking. The worldbuilding so far is fun and the theme is one I have not seen before but think has very high potential. So far this is a solid recommendation for everyone that likes monster/demon evolution stories with LitRPg. At least give the first 5 chapters a chance to see if you enjoy it.
Story: I like the character motivation, the worldbuilding, and how the story is progressing so far. To me kneel is a new approach I haven't read before and I enjoyed reading about Nil's "exploit" in hell (maybe?). The hook, which you can see if you click on "Spoiler" also drew me in quite well.
People who lack faith get a sort of different outcome than just death and our MC (understandably is not a big fan).
Character: This is the only aspect of the story that I personally find not great only solid. This however comes again from the fact of how the story is told. We simply don't have great character interactions because Nil (the MC) doesn't have tools well enough to communicate with the demons around him. Mind you this gets better as time goes on and I have high hope that I will have to adjust that score upwards as time goes on.
Style & Grammar: Are solid, and work well for the story, they are however not exceptional. Some seldom phrases are a bit tough to understand but that is more due to the situation Nil is in, rather than the writing itself. That does mean however that you get a good "feeling" for how Nil feels in those situations.

Got a recommendation for this on another story. Title was interesting, but I was disappointed when I checked it out and found it lacking chapters, because generally stories like that tend to be terrible and get dropped. This was not. The writing style was slightly off putting at first, but its fairly minor. The story is quite good, along with the worldbuilding. It can be kinda hard to tell what is going on, however, more in the general sense that you don't receive some details. It generally isn't an issue, however. The characters that are sentient tend to have thoughts and emotions that are varied, and they act in ways consistent to their established character. So far we haven't seen a ton of content, but the posting is very consistent, which is nice. I don't have to wait 2 weeks per chapter. I think that if the author continues to refine their style and doesn't drop the story that it will get big. Obviously like most royal road stories it isn’t perfect, but by platform standards I think it deserves a 5. The systems for how everything work are, as far as I can tell, very unique. Not seen a lot of stuff done how it is in the story. I would encourage you to try it out, and I hope the author keeps up the good work.

Kneel is a story about a soul that suffered for who know how long becoming a demon and trying to be something other than canonfooder all te while plotting his revenge against the fickle and callous gods that caused his pain

Really liked the last bit in chapter 3.
Anyway. Story looks like it's off to a good start. The first chapter lead me into thinking the wrong way about the plot. Wondered if I was getting another standard horror monster. The story is not another standard horror monster. Sure, we get gore and all but that's handled pretty delicately. Who doesn't like ripping into lizards and absorbing their souls?
Grammar pretty well done. Style is fabulous. Personality is grrr but will likely change later on. 5/5

The MC is an odd person, in an odd world and not many of the rules have been explained so far, but that oddness is slowly revealing something that I suspect will be great. So far the MC is off, how they react to many things is very much not a human reaction... the non human lead tag does mean a non human lead not just a human in a costume. I'll be very interested to see if that continues. The writing is competent, readable and I haven't noticed any major grammer\english issues but I often miss shit like that if the world is engrossing and this one is, it's brutal, unforgiving, and not a friendly place. Give it a read lets see if you agree with the Fatangry.

Talk about finding a gem. I didn't have many expectations when I saw that the novel was about demons, but lord am I glad to be mistaken.  Great story telling all around =) I'm beyond grateful to have found it.
The progression of the story starts slow, but it is essential to the plot for the story to build up as it is currently.  The personalities of most characters are so well portrait while not stealing anything from the mc, that I now hope all authors took notes from it hahaha

Overall a very well written novel ! No easy gains, no all-knowing plot-armoured protagonist (just a sprinkle of special events to justify following his journey) and a set of morals refreshingly in tune with the world the story is set in.
Oh and also a believable motivation for revenge ! Not half-assed ! Thank god !
    So yeah, me likey

So far, the story is good, and set at a good pace, with a few time-skips in between. From what I can tell, the grammar is nearly perfect with only small punctuation mistakes here and there.
The characters are interesting, and the MC is engaging. The story seems to be off at a good start. The style is nice, and the descriptions and details of the things in the story are good. The fight scenes are pretty good too.
keep up the good work, author!

Odd but interesting take on afterlife. RPG mechanics seems too basic but it is mostly due to the nature of the story as the characters discovers how to gauge and interact with his "screen". The slow discovery can feel a little dull but the progression is consistent of exploration and experimentation. The author has a good balance that the reader just has to wait a bit before it starts getting good.
