King of the Graveyard

A young man on the brink of death finds himself walking into a forest shrouded by fog. Although cold and exhausted, something compels him to push on.

As an unreliable narrator suffering from memory loss, the line between what's real and just a trick of his mind will blur, all while he'll have to trace back his steps in the war-torn lands of Mitellaria. Re-discovering his past through meeting old acquaintances—either that of a valiant knight or a mere poser—will be the key to finding out the truth about his conditions. Is he the victim of yet another meaningless conflict, or is perhaps something much more sinister unraveling itself in the background?

New readers can expect a slow-burn story focused on complex characters and their emotional development through the lenses of a flawed protagonist and first-person perspective, with elements of psychological horror involved in war and an ambiguously fantasy setting. Be warned that chapter publications are very erratic and might not be consistent.

Since I'm a relatively new writer, any and all criticism for my work is welcome and appreciated! High possibility that every few releases I might go back and revision past chapters based on suggestions and techniques that I learn along the way.
