I'm absolutely hooked. The story is well-paced and well-written, beautifully portrayed characters and imagery and I can't say enough. You've done an incredible job, for example the way you're consistent in how the characters act (which is, admittedly, something I tend to struggle with), with distinct, recognizeable personalitites. There's no info-dumping, and as you're setting the scene you do it in a way that it creates a strong image in your head. The way you give out information is clear and easy to understand, and you can already feel a great attachment to characters.
As for the actual story, well, it may come as a surprise, but I have no qualms with that either! It's intriguing and there's always something going on, no boring, no-action filler bits (which is another difficulty of mine, I'm convinced you're magic, teach me your ways senpai :'D) and although I'm writing this at a time when there's not as many chapters out, you have absolutely enthralled me with your story.
And the world building. Oh, the world building. You didn't go into too much nitty-gritty detail, info-dumping about every single town in the seven continents of the planet that it's set on, you didn't bore the readers with a essay-type paragraph on why the great wars of the past were awful, you didn't even write out about the mc walking up a hill, ONLY walking up a hill, to get to some important place. It's the tiny details like this that makes reading enjoyable and not a chore. You have done an amazing job, I can't wait to read more!!

I thought this would be an easy read for a bit and then i'd forget it, but I am deffinitely a fan now. The story reads very well, it is funny , engaging and I deffinitely want more.
I really hope there is a sequel.
btw see what i did with the title?

The only reason that this is not a five star review is that I've only read a little bit of the beginning and I know that it is just going to keep getting better as Amelia gets closer to killing the king.
The concept of the book is very intruiging and the reason why I clicked. It's such a shame though, that there are only 8 steps because I want this book to go on forever. The writer's style is descriptive and the character's voice has me hooked. She seems so indifferent and outwardly cold that I'm looking forward to the 'broken heart' element of the story mentioned in the blurb. The next thing you need to do, is write more of it.

Tired of those turgid, never ending LITRPGs? This short novel is a great palet cleanser.
Tightly plotted, fast paced, well written and above all, finished. This novel is what Royal Road needs more of, not to mention having a well written female lead who is as ruthless and focused as any of George RR Martin's characters.

This isn't the type of story I'd typically read. It's generally out of my wheelhouse as a guy; but I was admittedly enthralled for a good chunk it, which I feel is a testament more to the authors writing than the actual contents held within.
    Style
Easily the best part of the story for me. The author is descriptive without overestablishing the scene, making it feel like it sits just long enough for you to enjoy before swiftly moving into the next. I really enjoy the feel of the story as it takes place more in the observations and thoughts of Amelia, rather than being told to us outright. The prose also reads well and with little issue, the story almost never feeling disjointed. There's a few small hiccups, but that'll be covered in grammar.
    Grammar
By far and large pretty good. A few moments where the start of the next sentence feels a bit disjointed, and one or two spelling errors. I also stumbled upon a sentence that looked like two thoughts were warring for attention and when one won out, the corpse of the other was accidentally left in. Nothing glaringly wrong with the grammar, just very minor issues.
    Story
Maybe the weakest part, but by no means bad. I think rather than the actual plot revolving around Amelia wanting to kill the king, it's her machinations and thoughts that really light up the story for me. The plot is paced decently well, and we're pushing into step four now out of eight. Each chapter is also broken up into parts, better allowing you to take your time without feeling rushed as you get a feel for that moment in the story.
    Character
I floundered between a 5 and 4 1/2, and while ultimately Amelia carries the story, the characters surrounding them aren't the most interesting out there. They're not bad, and they're not written poorly either to me; the dialogue between them is also pretty good! However, their actual character is closer to facsimiles of others, - or perhaps stock is the right word? - they don't linger long either aside from the Prince

I am not quite sure what to say beyond my loud title.
The style is a delight and the story very scenic with opulent description... Not 100% sure whether it all makes perfect sense... but it makes enough sense for this murder romance story to be a tasty read.
Not sure where it's going, but it's going well so far! :)

This review is part of a 15K review swap, which ends at Step Three: Be Unavailable - Part III. A side note: Every complex procedure can be broken down into describable subtasks, so it’s perfectly normal to have parts to each major action/task.
Overall: I spent a lot of time imagining the physical objects and environments described in the story, which sets a very realistic stage in the first three steps.
Style: Lurid, detailed descriptions of the physical environment coupled with the main character's thoughts paint a very believable world. Appreciate more dialogue in later chapters. Would like to see some of the other characters fleshed out. It is clear the author uses different accents for the main character to interact with the other characters appropriately for her mission.
Story: Interesting premise. While Amelia at one point thinks of herself as a capricious murderess, I doubt that's actually true; she definitely has her reasons to be going through her paces.
Grammar: Immaculate, no grammar mistakes or misuse of punctuation noted. There
Character: As I mentioned under style, the main character's thoughts are readily available in the present, first person perspective. Looking forward to seeing how the other characters pop in contrast to how Amelia will need to navigate around them to get to her goal (or if the goal changes).
