- HeavenlyCrimsonRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I was introduced to this story by a friend who mentioned to me a written series based off the world of my all time favorite games. So obviously I had to check it out.
At first I found it a little wordy and a little rocky at the start, a common theme amongst writers starting out.
However, as I started to progress further in the story, I started to understand the beauty of the world-building. Sure, it was based on the universal mechanics of a game, but the story felt like it was standalone, a realm by itself.
Every chapter I thoroughly enjoyed reading more about each character and their struggles, losses, and their triumph.
My only complaint is that there is no audiobook version yet.
I assure you that you will enjoy your time reading this journey, just as long as you maintain transparency with the characters.
Another thing I enjoy is the fact that the main character isn't some braindead idiot, but an actual progressive entity the audience can follow. Even when the MC is not a highlight, you're still able to have tons of fun with whichever character is "on screen".
Never a dull moment in this story. 10/10.
