The author clearly has taken their time and care with this book and its articulated well. The entire plot and characters work together well and the whole battling but from the perspective of the mon thing has brought me no small amount of joy.
This setup as well... it started with a strong beginning and I was not only drawn in, I was captured.

If you've read "Humans make for awful pets" on Reddit, you'll enjoy this fun twist on the alien abduction story. Basically aliens have super powers (like Pokemon) but humans are small, sturdy, and tenacious. Perfect for battling other creatures from across the universe! It's either that or end up on a plate, so at least the stakes are high. For a story just starting out, I've got no complaints.

I think the actual plot is is fine (maybe it's a little hard to tell) but something about the way its written just makes it difficult to keep up with what's happening. I always feel bad giving a bad review to a story like this because it's clear the author really does care about the writing, it's basically typo free as far as I can tell, but Its just so hard to tell what's happening.
